  1. im guessin you mean the boss intake? yes its worth every penny. looks sweet and is functional. also helps your carbs clear the clutch arm. do a search on "boss intake". theres another thread about it somewhere.
  2. you use where the cases come together as a guide. where they meet is it. stock would be at 0 on the cases. turn one way or the other to advance or retard.
  3. id help once, maybe twice. after that hed be on his own.
  4. id say somewhere around 16/41 or 17/41. if you are dragging you will want that top speed. blue deuce is pullin a 17/41 with his. maybe hell speak up and let us know whats up.
  5. just weld it. you dont need to be bale to kick start it. you can still roll it down a hill or have a buddy tow you to get it going.
  6. yea you should be fine. when you get to 200 lbs is when you need to start runnin race gas.
  7. that was the most rediculous list of shit ive ever seen. who in the hell has time to sit and type all that out. DEMON, thats a great chart. you should copyright it and put it on some t shirts.
  8. if you go with a passion 12 port and dont get either 34 or 35 mm carbs its not gonna run anywhere near its full potential. if you wanna keep stock carbs i would suggest getting a different kind of port job. the 12 port has an extra intake port allowing it to pull more fuel and air. with stock carbs you arent gonna get anywhere near the amount of flow you need. so id either save up a little more and be able to get some carbs or get a woods port or a minor top end port.
  9. he should refund your money. it shouldnt be that big of a deal. if he doesnt then go to his house and kick his ass.
  10. i woulda put a ding in his fuckin forehead.
  11. i use the dg baja. i didnt think it was too bad to install.
  12. sweet. ill get some pictures posted up after they are on. they should complete the look of the front end.
  13. I used to have a pic of my old '01 White dually doin that but of course, I can't find it. Had a detroit in the rear and i could light them fuckers up. Bad thing about hopped-up diesels, they have so much freaking power that it's dangerous as hell to drive them when it's been raining, but it's more fun that way. sredish, last winter i was sittin at a stop light when it was kinda icy out. all of a sudden the rear end of my truck started sliding. i was like wtf. well i had kinda let off the brakes cuz it was flat where i was sittin. my tires were just spinnin away out back. i was like damn, now thats some torque.
  14. yeah, my iridiums are $7 to $8 depending on where you go, and they do have a little more snap, but the color reading, to me anyways, is a little more unpredictable due to the SupaSpark. I've been having some "issues" with my jetting, not too bad, but I think I'm gonna be running some ES's for a little while, to get back to basics, if you know what I mean. Later. yea i know what you mean. i had a kid out here the other day that hadsome es's in his banshee. no matter how long he rode it for we couldnt get an accurate reading on the plugs. i gave him some ev's to try and when he came back we had a good accurate reading. i dont know if his were just shit or what but the ev's gave us a good coloring on the plugs. whats up with your jetting anyway? its not running right?
  15. Why would u say hotter plugs? The BR8ES's are actually good plugs, there are guys draggin 110+hp shees with BR8ES's. I run BR8EIX's honestly, but I think I'm gonna go back to the BR8ES's because they're much more predictable in my opinion. The V's, for those that don't know, are a gold tipped electrode. If your gonna go that route, you might as well get the Iridium's if your after a better spark. The quality level goes gold - platinum - iridium. Also, if you look at that second pic and see where the color change takes place on the ground strap, you'll see that the color changes right in the middle of the bend. That is a spot-on perfect position and tells me that heat range fits it perfectly. I'm not sure whether the first plug is lean or didn't color very well, and to verify, I'd have him run the WOT test and then see what the color looks like. sredish, we have always run the EV series plugs in all our bikes. they seem to be a little snappier. ive run stock plugs and then switched to EV's and preferred them better. as a matter of fact thats about the only plug anyone runs here. i dont know all the specs on plugs nor do i want to, i just like the EV's better. how much are those EIX's anyway? are those the ones that are like 7 bucks a piece? the EV's are like 3 something a piece and thats enough for me.
  16. i fuckin hate political bullshit. all it does it pisses people off and makes them hate each other for their views. i really think its just there to stir up shit. i cant stand hearin that more ppl got killed over there and all that. and for what? i dont get it. i dont follow news on it but i dont think id be able to just sit there. i think itd make me wanna kill someone.
  17. ok looking from the back. the first one slides all the way down the axle and goes towards the right of the brake hub. then the other one goes on last. so when you assemble the axle it goes in this order. 1. c clip 2. brake hub 3. then insert axle into carrier 4. sprocket hub 5. lock nut 6. other c clip then you tighten down the axle nut against the c clip
  18. umm can you please post those pictures????
  19. yea it goes on the other side of the brake hub. towards the wheel. basically they go to the far outsides of everything. let us know how you like it, i hated my durablue. that lock nut POS never stayed tight and was a pain to get off with that stupid ass c clip deal. i got a lonestar now
  20. yes the top is lean. the bottom looks about right. yes your plugs can read different. if one of your carbs is a little plugged or dirty it can happen. id pull the carbs and clean them real well then try again. use a new set of plugs when you do it. oh yea, make sure the jetting is the same on both sides.
  21. after how long did it start doing this? im guessin that your banshee was gettin hot and prolly startin to run bad. mine does that. the other day we dragged so many times and towards the end it really wouldnt run all that great. i let it cool down andthen went back out and it was runnin good again. id bet thats what your problem is. did you ride it later after it cooled down?
  22. id kick her in the fucking teeth. fuckin bitch steals from you and watches your 2 year old son. boy id be rather heated and i think id put her in some concrete. theyd never find her.
