  1. not much difference between 2 and 3... but i do recommend checking the jetting after you put your new reeds in. do a WOT plug test and see how the plug looks. its very possible you might need some rejetting for the best performance possible.
  2. Dave Moore Racing, FAST and Redline Racing are all good builders. like dave said, call around and see who you like the best.
  3. i use fedex for everything..
  4. i won those pipes. man, they are dope.
  5. take it to a sandblaster. they can take it off. theyll prolly charge you more than they would for a painted frame cuz PC is a lot harder to get off. last time i had a PCed frame sandblasted it cost me 70 bucks.
  6. as napoleon would say, "luuckkyyyyy"
  7. what pipes did you have before? what was your jetting before? slow down and spell words correctly and make your sentences easier to read. more people will be willing to help if they can understand what youre saying.
  8. well id say you answered your own question. if its loading up then drop the pilot and then go from there. if its loading up that bad, the air screw alone is not gonna fix it.
  9. the t5s wont have as much top end as cpi, shearers or rockets. if you do more drag racing then switch pipes and get more out of your motor. if you plan on trail riding more keep the t5s. the t5s are a good all around pipe that make good power everywhere. any of the above pipes will more than likely result in the loss of some bottom end. if you dont care then get one of the above and gain some more power on top.
  10. ummm, 145 sounds way too low to me. ive always run 158 to 162 main jet in all pwk carbs. i usually run 42 to 48 pilot and settle at a 45. i really think you need to go up on that main jet. better be safe that sorry. at least if you try a 160 and it way rich, you might just foul some plugs rather than burn up a top end... if all else fails, see what jeff recommends. i bet it wont be a 145 main tho!
  11. if you gotta "blurp" it, it sounds like youre cleanin it out to me.. i think pilot is too big. you need to see whats in there. if its a 50 drop to a 45. if its a 48 drop to a 42. ive never run anything bigger than a 48 in a PWK carb on any motor ive ever had. (stock stoke, 4mm and 10mm)
  12. haha no i didnt think you were pickin on me.. some people have just never had it happen and trust me it was pretty fuckin irritating until i figured out what it was. swapped the o ring out and it never happened again. had the same type of thing happen in my bros cub motor except it was pressurizing the gear case. a couple bad seals in the water pump area was letting air ( and a little coolant) get by and pushing gear oil right out that overflow in back.. that was a hard one to figure out there..
  13. well in this case id be referring to a bad oring since hes got a cool head. ive had it happen before where an oring was broken and the coolant system became pressurized forcing the coolant out the overflow. it was never enough coolant getting into the cylinder to affect engine performance but it would most def push it out the overflow. in fact, i would have never known if i wouldnt have seen the coolant shooting out the overflow tube onto the ground. i dont run coolant bottles on anything.. when i pulled it apart there was a little bit of coolant in the pipes. but like i said, it wasnt enough to affect engine performance.
  14. i switched them around and didnt really notice any difference. like i said, i think the rows of lugs are too close together to be really effective. absolutely not. they are heavy, wear very fast and are too expensive. they might be ok for a cross country bike, but if your planning to be on any roads, gravel or anything harder than really soft dirt they arent that great. plus i dont think they hook up all that well..once the lugs lose their sharp edge they are done.
  15. 370 is way too big. have you dont a WOT plug test just to see what color your plugs are? ive never even done a plug chop. ive always just tuned by plug color and feel of the bike. im thinking you need more around a 330 or 340. your pilot jet should be ok at 27.5. also, what mix of gas and fuel are you running? also, check your coolant level..has it gone down in the radiator? do you still have an overflow? if it hasnt gone down then your jetting may be a cause of it overheating. if the level has gone down you have some pressurizing going on somewhere.. just throwin some ideas out there for you..
  16. i say dodge cummins. mines a 6 speed with an edge attitude chip and monitor. it fuckin runs hard. itll pull anything i want and gets pretty good fuel mileage. suspension is easy to work on also. i dont care for the look of the chevys at all. they sit way too low and seem to be way overprices compared to ford and dodge. their motors and stuff might be good, but i cant get over the looks of them. ford would be my 2nd choice. heres my 2005. im a gangster so i put 20's on it with some pretty meaty tires so it would still look like a truck..
  17. i mean i know that some people who left the site were cool and all, but i hope youre not seriously calling yourself one of the so called "great" or "interesting" ones.. cuz in all honesty, i totally fuckin forgot you even existed until this post.. im wondering who else forgot too?? as for people on this site who are interesting, great, full of knowledge or bullshit for that matter, i can name a ton of people still here or new here who fall into these categories.. the ones who left and are self proclaimed in one or all of the above groups have probably been forgotten by most, including myself.. ill say it right here and now, i dont miss brooke at all. not one little bit of me hopes she ever comes back to the site. she contributed nothing but nonsense and just stirred the pot all the time. not saying that other people dont or havent, but at least most of them own a fuckin banshee..
  18. my local ace hardware store sells all different size studs. i run them in my 4mm and my 10mm cub motors..a decent local hardware store will prolly have them.
  19. klaws dont hook up nearly as well as knarlys. the reason is that the rows of lugs are too close together and with the V pattern the lugs never really get a good bite. the rows on the knarlys allow the lugs to get a better bite on the ground. as for durability, the klaws might last longer but thats because of their tread design. in no way tho, do they hook harder than the knarlys. i would put my money on the knarlys or stock yfz450 tires over klaws any day.
  20. roost is the shit that shoots out from under your tires when you nail the throttle.
  21. well ive had a lot of experience with pwk carbs. ive used 33, 35 and 39 and ive never used any bigger than a 48 pilot on any setup ive had..ive had stock stroke, 4mm and 10mm and never used larger than a 48 and usually settle at a 45. id drop to at least a 48 considering it was cold and you didnt need to choke to start it.. as for your main, you wont really know until you do a WOT plug test.
  22. if you cant get knarlys get stock yfz450 tires. either tire is better than the klaws.. ive tried every dirt tire out there and none beat knarlys or 450 tires in price, traction and durability..
  23. wish i could find a banshee for 1200 bucks. i dont know what id do with it, but for 1200 you cant pass it up.
  24. all you need is a piston, rings, gaskets and wrist pin..it should be under 200 for everything.
  25. once you get up near 70hp then youll have trouble shifting.. just adding pipes themselves shouldnt affect it any..
