dave, wont a head, stock or aftermarket flex that much when tightening? what im saying is, even if you were to torque your shit right at torque spec, would it be accurate enough to be within .01" or whatever?
also, doesnt that clymer manual suggest using a straight edge to check it? is a straight edge really straight enough to find a number that small?
would .01 make any real difference anyway?
