  1. You're exactly right. As you sit there with the clutch in, waiting for the flagger, you're just making those plates hotter and hotter. The fibers will swell and the plates will "burn up."
  2. The center of the clutch pack is going to get hotter than the rest. It should also be harder to dissipate heat from the center of the pack than the ones towards the outside.
  3. I can't imagine letting out of a pass. That would suck.
  4. Those jetting specs are nearly identical to RJD's bike. I rode his today and it was running very well. Furthermore, your set ups are identical except for the flywheel. I'd put money on the flywheel being your issue.
  5. I hear the Precision built motors all kicked ass. Nice work guys!
  6. Gangster!
  7. OK, if you have seen any of my hillclimb videos you've probably seen me run over my leg at least twice. That shit hurts. I have been lucky to not have broken anything. So, in an effort to keep my legs in tact, I designed some heel guards for use with Roll Design foot pegs. I designed the pegs, put them on paper and sent it to JD. I got them last week, bought some 1" nylon from Jo Ann fabric and had my grandma sew them up for the netting. I got to use these today. You can't even tell they're there, which is what I wanted. Starting the bike with them is no issue. I have a big 18DM and if I can start it with that motor, you can start anything. They weigh 1 pound 14 ounces per side. Here are some pics..
  8. FLYWHEEL!!! Ditch that lightened flywheel! You want the rotational mass of a stock weight flywheel.
  9. Lucky. I have to travel 6+ hours each way to run in D23.
  10. This is our only local hillclimb. I run District 23 in MN/WI also throughout the year. There are 3 hills in MN and 2 in WI that are part of D23.
  11. OG Rockets are a small bore pipe. I doubt you find a pipe that comes on sooner than those that will still let the motor rev. RJD's bike is a good runner. All you need to do is some gearing swapping and you're set. Ideally, you want to start in 2nd. You can't compare the dunes and paddles. They put more of a load on the motor than the dirt will.
  12. Here are some pictures from this weekend..
  13. Hahaha.
  14. I've never had an issue with one. You're sure they didn't burr it up or something?
  15. Yea. I was referring only to the PV and horsepower.
  16. I hope so. I was 3 kits.
  17. You've got a 13 year old kid. Yea, you're old.
  18. What do the PVs have to do with anything? A 10DM on gas will make 125hp+ and they don't have PVs.
  19. I hope someone is taking pics of all this shit.
  20. Hmm, that's pretty fucking long. Got anything else you can climb?
