Yea, at 300 pounds I'm not sure I understand what's going on here. Chromoly chassis? Ti chassis? I wouldn't even consider CF unless I was maxed out elsewhere and even then, aluminum and titanium are easier to get and build.

I've had clear over raw and wouldn't do that again. It starts to surface rust under the clear after a month or so. Originally my brother's chassis was illusion purple with clear vision top coat, but it turned out too dark. So we ended up going with illusion violet with silver sparkle top coat, which was much lighter and has an awesome metal flake look. I will try to post some sunlight pics tomorrow but colors never show up right. My chassis is lollipop berry over heavy silver and it just doesn't have the metal flake I'd like. I am going to redo mine this winter.

The way my PC guy just explained it to me was like this.. A flat piece of material just takes a single pass to coat. A round piece takes several passes to coat. This affects the color. We did my brother's chassis and it came out a lot darker than we wanted due to the amount of passes to coat round tube. So, we ended up picking out another color, that was considerably lighter, to help compensate for this. Also, I would not trust too many of the customer's color samples on the Prismatic website. Some of those look fucky to me. And lighting will also play a role in the color's true color.

Speaking from experience, I'd be really careful about samples with two part powders. The color varies depending on application of the powder. I just went through this on my brother's chassis.

I have no desire to sell mine, but if someone wanted to pay it...

I talked to GT Performance the other day about some CF parts and he said he had two months of reading, talking to experienced people, doing calculations and researching different weaves of CF before he decided what to use as the steering stem on his kid's 300' chassis. And this is a guy who's been making shit go fast since before most guys in this thread had Banshees. That's saying something.

I get mine from Redline. It holds up to 170HP just fine. Most of the time, the chain isn't the issue.

Dodge also has a killer new style interior. My dad just bought a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500. It's pretty slick. I'd say it's a toss up between the two.
