  1. Couldn't be that he just joined the other day either that would tip you off. That wouldn't happen on the HQ. Coming here to plug your stuff. IMPOSIBLE
  2. Sorry... i knew that you were a chic.... for some reason while reading that.. i thought brooke was fitting with gimmeabeer.... i beg for forgiveness
  3. I contacted these people.... they said the kits on ebay are correct... just specify when ordering that you need a kit for a banshee. I just ordered a set, so i'll see if they actually fit correct or need modifing.
  4. Come on brooke... you can't ley him get off that easy.
  5. No new ideas.... i've got a voltage regulator coming so i hope that is the problem.
  6. Just a thought.... but did you get grips for a twist throttle?? One side for a twist throttle set is bigger to go around the twist throttle. if so that could be your problem. Just something that has happened to me once. Thought it might help.
  7. Send it... still works right. PM me with info... or reply to mine that i sent you
  8. if you go to that site.... there are no pegs for a banshee.... must have got like the 450r and modified them to fit. that must be why his spaces didn't fit. But they are still nice pegs. Wonder if they have banshee pegs in the works??
  9. Yeah.... they are good. Checked that also.. Even removed the paint off the back of the voltage regulator that i painted. Still no go. Dielectric greased the whole grounding conection. Nothing changed.
  10. Got the voltage regulator off that thing, if the lights worked.... How much for that.
  11. Well if you bought it for 10 bucks.... try extending it yourself without forking out anymore money. If you screw it up then your out 10 bucks. If you screw it up then go buy a real aftermarket one and you will have only waste 10 bucks. Not more paying someone else for screwing it up. That's my .02.
  12. Checked the bulbs...at least two out of three.. the brake light and one headlight. Both work. Checked that the stator is putting some power out, and it is right at the two plugs on top of the motor. But still no lights. So i think my voltage regulator took a shit. WHat do you think. All the conections are correct as far as i can trace them out. But with the stator putting out power that leads me to beleive that the regulator isn't working, Correct??
  13. Looking for a voltage regulator.... mine i beleive is bad and want to replace it. Thanks.
  14. thanks... going to check the bulbs in the morning. I didn't think it would fry all the bulbs at once.... but know i have heard of it, so i'll check them
  15. One thing i had thought of.... i removed all the tors wires from the harness... just thought that might help.
  16. Well here is the story. This winter i broke down the shee and PC'd the frame got new a arms, shocks and what not. Got it back together today and i runs fine. Only problem, no headlights or tail light. What do you think the problem could be. Put in a RS timing plate, but it runs fine so i don't think that it is that.... thanks for the info.
  17. I don't know off hand.... but did the same thing and just asked them for stock banshee rims and they hooked my up through douglas.. Either one should know if you ask them when ordering. Worked for me.
  18. That way works just a fine also.... another way.
  19. Just asking here..... but does the key when turned off remove or apply the needed signal. Either way....if it applies the needed signal when turned on... then just wire the tether to ground on one side and a key wire on the other. Or why not just wire the tether in line with the coil orange wire.... when you remove the tether end cuts firing signal from the coil..... game over. Correct me if my thinking is wrong.
  20. a cock sucker opf course..... that is like the line drawn in the sand.... once you cross you can't come back.
  21. i have both stock front and rear shocks off a '94. If interested. white fronts, yellow rear.
  22. I see that your post says TORS eliminator kit. Did you remove all related crap, or just remove the carb tops? If you didn't remove all the crap, then maybe that is a problem area too. Just a thought if you haven't removed all the rest of the stuff. But i would guess that if you have got the kit that you removed the rest of it also. But i would agree too. If your reeds are brand new.. carbs have been cleaned several times... sounds like electrical somewhere.....nothing like chasing a good electrical problem to ruin your day. Sorry.... keep us posted what the problem is or was when fixed.
  23. great standby... the insulation.... won't last for shit but it will get you by for the mean time.... and like stated... you can probably pick some up at a jobsite from scraps and get enough to pack your silencers.
  24. If i'm thinkong correctly.... they are like stock 250r tighteners. The threads are reverse thread. So turn it far enough in so that you can get to the clip and remove. Good luck.
  25. just noticed somthing with that diagram page for wiring. If you scroll down till you see the first flywheel. Looks all nice and stock, the next pic though, all nice and machined lighter. Just caught me a funny right now. But it's late and that could just be it also.
