Make sure you check the amt of freeplay on the clutch arm on the case. Your clymers will tell you how. If not, you risk welding the clutch ball & rod together.

Good suggestion. Also...check the connector where the stator connects to the cdi...make sure none of the pins got pushed aside & aren't going in the connector right. I only say this due to my own personal experience. After I rebuilt my shee I had '0 spark'---well when I'd reconnected the stator & coil plug, one of the prongs got bent sideways & wasn't in its connecting slot. Had a fun time figuring that one out.
