I got a good friend that lives over by killpecker,...they buggy there quite a bit actually. Hopefully someday I'll make it up that way and check them out myself.

I'm running RS's stock wattage stator on the adjustable plate,... advanced my timing +4, no problems and/or complaints. Had to do a little grinding on the stator plate to get it to fit, but no big hassle at all.

That's what I'm saying...these guys ROCK too...My Father's Gun is from Lawrence, KS & won the 'best of the best' in Wichita & Kaotic Circle is the Wichita 'Battle of the Bands' champs too. They're playing a show Friday at the Club in Wichita & it's gunna be off the hook! We'll see though...I'm waiting to hear back from Donnie down at LS.

Could be stator. Check for air leaks, test your stator.

If ya can't EZ-out it,...drill it out & re-tap it. I've had to do that on both left side peg bolts.

If I'm getting this all correct,...yes you'll want the sleaves to keep out dust & chit...to protect your bearings.

Hoping to be able to jam up by the oasis...and use their electrics. Or round up some generators.

Depends on what you plan on doing in the dunes. I switched from T-5's because I do more than just haul balls...I like to do technical stuff, switched to PC's & am a lot happier with their performance on the sand & dirt for that matter. They just suit my style. But yes...T-5's & CPI's are popular dune pipes.

Are the carbs seated good? Stock carbs & intake boots? Do you have reed spacers?

Even though it may not sound like a carb problem...check & make sure you're mains aren't clogged or if there's anything floating around in the bowls of your carbs. My ex's dad's shee did that a few weeks ago at the dunes, the right main was clogged. It would run good at idol, could rev it sitting, just would shit out after you got out the gate & went to take off...almost seemed like a clutch problem, turned out being a clogged jet the whole time. Just something easy to check 1st...

I would, not hurting anything by doing it...put one on the hose going into the motor & the other on the return hose.

I'm running a billet hinson basket with a barnett dirt digger clutch. It's only money... I've heard good things about tusk clutches, not to mention they're half the price as the other HD clutches.

Shouldn't be hard to get you where you want to be. Good place to get quick gains is airfilter, pipes, & rejetting. What mods does it have currently...whatchya got?
