Kept hearing some shizzle rattling in the clutch side...well I found the problem. So what's the best way to hold the damn 'clutch boss' to loosen that big ass nut holding the MF'r on?...don't have the 'grabbit' tool they suggest. I'm going to get a new clutch basket, but I need to get the damn boss off 1st. The best part of this whole deal....I'm leaving for the dunes tomorrow. p.s....thanks for the pic MEAT, I stole it from your site...

Just the same. My g/f's dad has some ceramic coated T5's he bought from someone here on the HQ I hooked him up with, can't ever remember who....but he loves the shit out of them & they look kick ass!

Is it like this nut?....maybe this pic will help...it's BIG, but I left it like that for the better detail...you should just have to slide the threaded part on, install the keeper ring on the axle, then tighten the nut on the threaded part...then tighten the allen head to keep it from loosening. See if this looks familiar... Nice ass huh!?

I would either sand them down real good & hit'm with some black high-temp paint or look into getting them either Ceramic or JetHot coated. When my pc's are looking bad enough to bother me I'm getting them ceramic coated.

Yep...got it all done...ran 'tits for a few weeks & a dune trip....was out pasture blast'n & heard a pop So I killed it...I thought I'd broken a piston or something major. Well I looked it over, still had compression on each cyl, so I kicked it & it fired right up. Well something in the clutch side has either broken or popped loose--thinking something with the kicker cause it feels kinda funny...but the GD screw holding the clutch cover on next to the waterpump cover is stripped...I tried dremelling the head off it...but I couldn't get in there good enough. Grab my drill gun, what do ya know...it's hosed. So I gotta get a drill from my bro-in-law so I can drill the rest of the screw head off, remove the clutch cover & see WTF is up, and fix the durn thing. So yeah...shee's acting like a female more & more...I still love the way it can make me feel, but I can sure bitch about it a lot too when I'm not around it.

Nevermind....I'm a dumbass , it's in Mississippi.....so if anyone else is looking for an XR400 around there, there's a pretty good deal.

If I can't get my damn clutch cover off to see WTF is loose in there I won't be taking the banshee & will be on my/g/f's EX for the weekend. I'm mainly going down just to get away for the weekend...I'll be sporting a zep shirt most likely...will be there with an older red/white banshee, 2 yellow 400ex's with WB Exhausts(mine has carbon fiber warning label inserts), an 04 red/black blasturd, and dunno what else. I'll be driving a 95 ext. cab Chevy....maroon, tan on the sides...white tool box. Should only be one chick with us, my g/f...I hope to hell I have my banshee running, but if not...well...guess I'll just drink more.

I hope you're not planning on making money racing or doing freestyle on a quad...it's just 99% not possibly going to happen. Maybe some trophies or what not...but nothing to make a living on. But dreams are there for a reason. But to answer your question...this day & age, for freestyle & MX...a YFZ & plan to spend lots of $$ building it up & fixing what you f*ck up.

Hell yes! All the zep albums are great, I really dig them all equally; IV is probably the one I listen the least to since it pretty much has all the 'maintstream' tunes that the radios play...but it really doesn't get much better than Live Zeppelin! So yeah...check out 'How The West Was One' and Rock On!!!! Don't forget to check out the HTWWO DVD!

Now if you were to widen that thing I'd imagine it would be a flat-track monster as light as it is!
