I'd definately try d/c the torrs, unplug the box under the front left part of the tank, if you have a clymers it will show you where. Other than that, sounds like a toasted stator to me.

You're fine, I woulnd't screw with it. A little maintinance, good gas/oil mixture, & correct jetting will go a long way. I guarantee I got more than 40 tanks of gas through my '97 & it's still got stock pistons & rings & with my milled head, still 150lbs compression.

You may check out http://www.ford-trucks.com for info, or post on their forum. Only ford motor I've had experience with is in my 66 Bronco(1st yr)...170 inline 6'r w/3spd on the column. It's 90% original, I have all the stock parts including suspension, except the original seats & one hubcap. Original engine & drive train. Think that steering pump is hard to come by....try finding a manual steering box for that Bronco that's in good condition & not valued next to gold.

Work out & keep at it. At your age, you oughta be starting to hit the weight room. Get yourself on a schedule & stick to it, eat a balanced diet, run--your flat feet will figure it out(tried shoe inserts/arch supports?), nothing comes easy when it comes to losing weight & staying in shape. I tried spacers like on Ron's, but ultimately I still was cleaning filters quite often and still managed to get holes worn in my outerwears. Got tired of messing with them & got the toomey 2:1 as shown below. Still running the same outerwear that came with the filter & cleaning it's not quite the headache as with the K&N's. Just another option out there...

Not a problem. My 1 & only post there, along with their replies, locking the thread, & banning me within minutes just is all the more reason myself, as well as many others I guarantee, don't even bother going there. They sure can dish it out, but can't take it in return.
