  1. Not generally worth it when you can find a new wiseco on ebay for 300
  2. Just rebuild it. There is a ball, a spring, and a detent in there. You can buy the parts through Yamaha.
  3. Err? You can't assume one bearing is good just because another is good. Especially if you have a bad seal on one side. If you can't physically spin the bearings in your hand, then you can't check if they are healthy (remember OP, a crankshaft has 4 case bearings that you can not inspect unless you split the cases). I also wouldn't go as far to check the rod with a 10x magnifying glass or the head. If you have an issue there, you will definitely see it with the naked eye.
  4. I need to pick up a stock basket WITH the kick starter gear (or I will just buy the kicker gear) as well as a stock stator with the square plug. Thanks
  5. You could have a bad crank seal. That will cause transmission oil to seep in from the clutch side and into the right cylinder. This will cause your right plug to foul. Hard to check crank bearings with the motor together, but you can check rod play.
  6. They come with billet sprocket hubs. I believe the stock axle nut also won't fit on it. Could be wrong on that one though
  7. Hondabond, yamabond, suzukibond...all the same sh*t that sets up after just a couple minutes. Use Threebond 1211. It doesn't set up nearly as fast, easier to work with, seals well, but doesn't make your cases impossible to spread later on.
  8. I've used a Snap-on CT3850 for the last couple years and it has worked great. I sold it last week though, and bought a CT4850HO which has twice the torque. This thing here is amazing. So much more power than the 3850 (But 500 bucks). You can find a used 3850 on ebay for 200ish
  9. Thanks Dave. However, it is tough to load a motor like a DMX without a waterbreak dyno. You should expect 180's out of an 85 bore DMX on our local dyno. Mine is smaller to fit within the PlanetSand classing, but a standard 85 will run great. We did a 3.60 on its first time out, and a 3.49@91 on its second time out. It will be very hard to fit a DMX on a stock case though, so with that said, it would be better to stick with the DM if you aren't planning on buying billet cases.
  10. A pump is definitely cheap insurance.
  11. That is simply not true. There is a lot to be gained from a cub cylinder by porting it. Not only is there something to be gained from "just" port work, but it will be set up to work in unison with your pipes, combustion, and intake. No builder is going to want put their name on a cylinder without porting it, and I have never heard of a "top" builder saying a cub couldn't use a little work.
  12. I have some...I'll go measure them
  13. I am in Pismo also. What bore size are you looking for?

    wtb stator

My pickup is cracked, so chances are...that is my issue.

    wtb stator

Not to hijack, but I could use one also
  16. I am selling my polished JJ&A
  17. AFT kills my clutches. I use Motul in my race bikes, and cheap ol' Honda GN in bulk for the rest of the bikes.
  18. If the gear on the back is good, get me a decent picture, and you have a deal. Paypal or otherwise, just PM me. Need it QUICK. Thanks
  19. I also need a kick start assembly with the shaft, spring, nylon bushing, gear....need it all. Let me know if you have one of them laying around. I used to have 2 or 3 of them, but tossed them...opps
  20. Hey guys, need another clutch basket. Broke another one. If you have one, just send me a PM. Cheaper the better, all I want is the kicker gear on the back of it so the ears can be as jacked up as they want to be. Thanks
  21. Need a programmable dyna (new style plug). Thanks
  22. I might have one. I'll look tonight
  23. What year...?
