  1. ok ill look everything over. hopefully ill find something. just sounds exactly the same as if you run it with the fuel off and it eventually runs out of fuel. same noise. couldn't be the fuel line, youre right. because it only does it if im off throttle. but the fact that I can go full bore for long durations means its getting fuel. the fact that it does it only when im off throttle or around 1/4 kinda makes me think that the pilot might be off. idk lol. it kinda idles high and fast too idk if its related. weird though.
  2. longer tube didn't work. I don't think I have an air leak. ill have to spritz water or something and see. it seems to do it when I let off the throttle and coast or if I give it a little gas but don't hit the powerband. that's what made me thing pilot jet, but the next size up seemed too big. when I rode it just now, it started doing it the worst its ever done before, and I completely lost power, just bzzzzzz every time I gave it gas. It slowed down then it died. could it be the CDI? I have no experience there.. I thought it was dead but I was able to start it again.
  3. the choke tube btw the carbs is kinda short. maybe I should get a longer piece. might not be on enough.

  5. the whole motor sounds like hair clippers when it does it. it goes bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. kinda strange. worried ill damage it haha

  9. hey guys, ive been noticing a strange buzzing sound when im off the throttle sometimes. one time my fuel line popped off and my engine was making that sound. but its only when im off the throttle and coasting usually. sometimes it gets kinda loud but if I shift up and lower the rpms a lot, it usually goes away. but my rpms weren't abnormally high when it did that. just kinda makes a bzzzzzzzz sound. Is my pilot too lean or something? the next size up (30) seems too big and I cant start my bike with it. I cleaned it up a lot with the air screw but its still there. kinda strange.
  10. awesome thanks guys. exactly what I was looking for. hadn't thought about changing tire size...... that's a good point. cant remember what my fronts are, I know my rears are 22s. its still fairly stable when its a little taller? those max clearance long travel kits look badass.
  11. wondering if anyone has tried it on some tough trails and if it just got in the way. where I live theres a lot of rocky, technical shit but also some long roads. so id be hauling ass and then all of a sudden hill climbing and into some tight cornering in a lot of brush. I scrape bottom on the rocks sometimes. and I want more travel. idk how to get more travel. more than likely extended a arms are impractical for my area but if theyre not too unwieldy id like to know. thinking about some changes I can make.
  12. trail meaning not the desert, tighter rockier more obstacle riding. ive never used or even seen extended a arms in person. a 4 inch lift for my truck sounds like nothing until you see it in place. would better suspension give me any more clearance or do I need to do something else. its not necessarily longer just because its a better system. and doesn't mean longer shocks would fit without some sort of alteration.
  13. stupid question. would you trail ride with extended a arms? or are they too wide? would they make any improvement? also how could I get more clearance under my banshee? and what would give me more travel? im a lot lower than my friends 400ex. pretty sure I just need to upgrade my suspension.

  15. I'm no expert but I'd say that's pretty damn close. Rode it all over just to see what it turned to.
  16. I'll run it a little more. I ran it 1-6 but it was pretty quick. The ring is starting to turn a shade of color and the cone is turning light brown. So I'll see if it finishes turning color. See where it stops.

  19. Haven't chopped it yet. Not sure what tools I have to do that. Sure I'll find something. I know the arm is supposed to show you the heat profile or something. The cone or core or whatever is very light brown. Can't fly tell. Sry my phone's camera sucks lol.
  20. K it runs great, Idk if it has as much top end. Doesn't feel like it bogs at all or doesn't pull. The plugs core is very light brown kinda Caramel and the whole arm thing is like real whitish tan. Seems like its on the lean side? not great at reading plugs. There's no oil on it.
  21. I've got the needle one clip richer than that. 2nd from the bottom, 5th down I think. Just cuz that's where it was with the 330s. And I'm already going leaner with the main jet so I figured I'd better play it a little safe and see what it does first.
  22. Thanks Gravel that's exactly what they're set to. I need to do a plug chop though. Still waiting on the mail. The rubber boot (cover) on the throttle cable right on top of the carbs slid up a little. When I took em apart I forgot to make sure everything had slack. Essentially the throttle was pulled at the top of the carbs so the slide never hit bottom. My fault lol but I'll never forget again. I was able to just push em back down and they're back to normal. Gunna go sync em because they are off.
  23. k I put 310 mains with the 30 pilots but it idled really high no matter what I did. after swapping the pilots back to 27.5 I realized the throttle boot on the carb was pulled a little... after like 5 times of taking it apart and adjusting shit lol I was kinda annoyed. so I have 310s with 27.5s which might be ok, remains to be seen. but I heard that pc pipes like to have a fatter jet? would I get more power with the 30s if I adjusted it right?
