  1. so I just got vforce 4 reeds. I was running 310 mains with 27.5 pilots, air box with no lid at 4000 feet. stock motor. ran great. after I put the reeds on, I put 330 mains on it but left the pilots the same. it idles high and fast and the rpms seem to slowly climb sometimes. the carbs are synced, I checked the cables, checked the slides. what do you think? bump it to 30 pilots? seems to idle fast but lower pitched with the choke pulled but it seemed better.
  2. Yup the new spacers fit perfectly. Took a lot of coaxing to get Fox's help though, they insisted that the shock was right for stock banshees. He told me I messed with the mounts on the frame or something. I sent him pics and he finally said he'd look into it, and then they finally sent me the right spacers.
  3. Oh cool, thanks dude. Kinda sucks I can't just find kits for that. I'll talk to who I got it from. Fucking tired of waiting tho.
  4. I can interchange them right? They just kinda slip in
  5. Might be kinda hard to see. I pushed the shock against the side to show the space. Otherwise there's an eighth inch on each side
  6. Lot of play in there. The bottom spacers is sticking out about a quarter inch. That's how much room there is
  7. The box says it was inspected too
  8. Ya it's kinda weird. The box is labeled with the proper serial number too. But the shock eyelets look different than the Fox site. My eyelet spacers are flush with the eyelets whereas the pictures spacers stick out a little. Maybe I just got the wrong one. Seems more likely than my previous idea. There's no other spacers in the box.
  9. More like a quarter inch
  10. Rear shock
  11. I just Got a new Fox 2.0 podium rc2 but when I was installing it I noticed the eyelets might be a bit narrow and they leave some space between the mounts. Maybe 1/8"-1/4" of play. Is there an adapter or maybe a reducer kit that I need? Or do you think I'd be ok with some washers in there?
  12. awesome, thanks dude. and every 2000 feet higher you go down a size? cuz I was looking on another site and people are using my same jetting 3-4000 feet below me. one guy uses it at the same temperatures I ride in. kinda strange. im probably off somehow. not very good at it yet lol
  13. Bigger when its cold right
  14. Just the main?
  15. Temperature change. It's been hot and when it makes the noise its cold. 40 degree fluctuations.
  16. ya my bike doesn't bog when it runs out of gas it makes a high pitched hollow sounding buzzing sound. fuck I really wanna get a video now hahaha
  17. ok so I think Gravel was right again. I looked at my needles earlier then I put em back, tightened the carb tops and synced them. when I was riding trying to get a video of it, I couldn't get it to make the noise. I SORTA did but nothing you can probably even hear. you know how it sorta ticks when you let off the throttle? not really a tick but idk how else to describe it. that tick would become long and drawn out and sound like bzzz or bvvvvv I guess. cant really explain it. the tops seemed tight when I took them off so the carbs must not have been synced? but they were super super close I couldn't see any deviation. ill see if I can do it again tmrw.
  18. oh I also had a problem with my carb overflowing so I adjusted the float down (after I cleaned it and it didn't work). but what if the floats down too far and the gas isn't able to feed properly?
  19. the needle goes in the main jet doesn't it.... I was thinking it went in the pilot but that wouldn't make sense... possible my pilot is too small?
  20. I rejetted because I went from Toomey t5s to PC platinum and I went from 330 mains to 310. but I left the needle clip where it was (second from the bottom) and same pilot 27.5. I have the airscrew 1 1/2 turns out. I think I screwed up when I tried the 30 pilots so its possible that theyd be better. Ill ride it over to my friends house and on the way if it makes that sound ill pull the choke and see if it gets worse or better. and ill try to see if I can get a video.
  21. ok ill try to get a video of it. you know how a banshee sounds? well imagine riding and when you let off the throttle if the rpms are still kinda high, it stops sounding like a banshee and sounds more like hair trimmers. if you gas it or shift up to lower the rpms itll stop but the banshee can bog. im not revving it too high or anything though. and when i gas it, the engine runs fine. if i dont give it more gas or shift up, it can get bad, and ill lose all power. i had my fuel line pop off once and it started making the same noise. no power at all. same if your gas is turned off. i can hear it so well because i have some gay silencers on it right now but it does get loud on its own. might sound different on yours but its the same sound as starving your engine for fuel. totally a fuel problem.
  22. ya my carbs are still synced and hitting bottom, the cable isn't pulled or anything either. needles make perfect sense. not allowing the pilot to feed properly. I cleaned it up a little with the airscrew and that's why the bike takes a few kicks to start.
  23. its usually after it warms up too. im gunna adjust that tmrw and ill let you know. otherwise ill borrow my friends gopro and try to get a video
  24. you know what? I think its my carb needles. I think theyre too lean. that's why it does is when I let off the throttle. I might have put them up a notch when I rejetted and I also went down a jet size.... stupid of me, I should've played it safe and gone rich. means itd be plugging the pilot too much when im cruising.
