  3. how much power will advancing the timing net me? is it a noticeable difference? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  4. I'll say 1 thing it's much faster then it was when it had the stock porting and all. but the compression was very very low so that definitely didn't help lol Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  5. I'd say it definitely has more then 40 horsepower Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  6. it also has v force 4 reeds Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  7. ok so got the banshee done a few months back and been wondering what kind of of power shee's making now. my engine power mods are -dmc headers with fmf power core silencers. -uni foam filter with no lid -stock carbs with tors delete 290 mains and 30 pilot jets -65.45mm namura pistons (364cc) -stock jugs with a very clean bore and hone to match the pistons -mild trail port work (will show pics) -stock bottom. stock head the quad has about 2 hours on the new clutch water pump and top end. the quad runs great and sounds awsome. every time it hits that sweet power band the front tires come right up. the only regret I have is not using forged pistons but it should hold up. so what kind of crank and whp do you guys think I'm making I know it's hard to judge but give me an estimate. I'm thinking near 60 crank but idrk. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  8. make sure your plugs are good and gapped properly and you have a good spark. bluish spark is a strong spark orange/yellow is a weak spark. could also be an air leak or pull the flywheel cover and make sure your stator is in good shape and is timed Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  9. this top end won't be in the bike very long bc I'm planning on doing a full on tear down when I can afford it so I don't think I'll ride it till it's completely worn down anyway Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  10. ok well I'm assuming they were and the motor runs pretty well so I'm going to run them. I just heard so many horror stories about these namura pistons in banshees I started getting worried Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  11. so run them and don't worry about it? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  12. check and make sure your slides are moving up and down in exact sync. if the bike has been sitting a while I would look into cleaning the carbs Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  13. the cylinders were cleaned up very well and I didn't check clearances but the pistons were 65.5 mm instead of the stock 64 mm so I'd say they whoever did it made sure they put the right set of pistons to fit it Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  14. but will I be able to get a good 30 or 40 hours out of them? people say they've had cast pistons crack on the 3rd ride. I trail ride for the most part but I do beat on it when I get the chance I'd say about 75% of the time I ride it Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  15. the shee runs good it's probably at about 2 hours now so I got on it a little and it seems to do fine. have you ever ran namura pistons or witness any horror stories from these products? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  16. so I threw a new top end on my banshee originally planning to send the jugs in get them bored over port and polished and fitted with wiseco pistons. I found an ad of someone selling freshly bored ported and honed cylinders that looked great and he had all the gaskets and everything I needed for the rebuild and the jugs were fitted with namura pistons. I didn't have a problem with that because I always thought namura was a good brand I know there cast pistons but I thought they were at least as good as stock. so I put the bike together and it runs great then I started hearing all sorts of bad things about namura and how I'm going to crack the piston skirts and destroy the motor. has anyone ever had good luck with namura pistons before? like I said if I knew this stuff I would not have got them but now it's to late and the banshee runs good. did I make a big mistake? thanks in advance Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  17. Yup thanks for all your help dude you've done nothing but act like a jerk off. I'll take my quad to you and have the ENTIRE motor rebuilt in 20 minutes next time
  18. So it would take me 15 minutes to pull the motor and take the entire motor apart?
  19. The rebuild would take alot longer to do I have to pull the motor and tear the entire motor apart and do all the seals and go through everything it's a longer process
  20. I don't mean the crank is going to be gone for that long I mean the rebuild its self is going to take alot longer. There's times where I can't even work on it for an hour a week
  21. By the next rebuild im planning on a 4 mil or something but right now I don't have the time or money so I was going to run the stock crank and get my jugs ported for now
  22. No it's from the US its an 03
  23. Idk if your being sarcastic or not
  24. No I'm not saying they did. The shavings are on the sides where the transfer ports would sit to suck in the fuel
  25. The metal isn't from the crank its from when I pulled the jugs off the studs. It was a pain and the only way to get it off was to wiggle and wiggle which messed up the threads on the studs causing the shavings when you look at the studs you can see that metal was sheared off of them that's where the shavings are from
