  1. hey guys so I been thinking about ways to wake up my banshee a little more lately. currently only have t5's foam filter and jetting done. everything else motor wise is stock, pistons, crank, head all stock spec. mind you it runs pretty good but the previous owner knew nothing didn't take care of it and it had a vacuum leak and jetting was wayyyy off. sucks because it has a fresh rebuild top to bottom but because of how he treated it there probably isn't to much life left but I brought it back to life tuned it up and its running pretty well. what I have in mind it get a timing plate and advance it plus 4 throwing vforces on it and a cool head with 21-22 cc domes and maybe jetting it a little on the fatter side. what do you guys think? I'm not really trying to save this motor as I have plans on completely overhauling it when it goes and those parts can go on my next build so they won't be wasted Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  2. how much would running a stock lid change my jetting? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  3. yeah I've been running no lid I'm going to put the lid back on and try to keep them as dry as possibke Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  4. it's done this to me twice and both times are after the bike got wet I'm starting to think the issue is if a little water gets in the slides it causes the throttle to stick Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  5. hi so I installed idle screws on my banshee and have t5 pipes and a uni filter with no lid that's it. I'm running 27.5 pilots and 270 mains. I'm having an issue where it'll idle hreat but when I ride it and get on it the idle will go up a lot and the throttle feels like it's sticking almost. this started happening when installing the idle screws. any suggestions? thanks Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  6. it wasn't doing it with the 25's in so I think it's the pilots but it could also be the float adjustment Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  7. i put the 30's in and it bogs off idle so I think it's too big. I think I should go down to a 27.5 pilots and put the needle down 1 position bc it's 1 position up from the middle right now. thoughts? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  8. it sounds healthy at idle
  9. it's idling good with the 25 pilots at 1.5 turns out I just don't know if that's too lean at 50 ft above sea level Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  10. no there deleted. I just add a little extra tension to the cable which makes it a little stiffer but it works Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  11. I don't have the idle screws but it's idling good Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  12. I probably didn't run the cable right Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  13. turns out both carbs had the same bowl. put the blaster bowl on and the quad started right up now I just gotta play with the throttle cable bc it's binding and sticking somewhere. I'll probably re route it but the bowl was the issue Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  14. so should I just throw it on tbe left carb? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  15. and btw I have a blaster carburetor sitting around and I'd imagine that that bowl has the little just thing could I use that bowl on tbe left carb? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  16. it's been a few days since I've had time to look at the banshee. within the next day or 2 I'm going to pull the carb bowls and make sure I have the right ones then go from there Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  17. I was running without idle screws on my last shee Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  18. yeah I should have something that will work and I'll re check it again later and let you know Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  19. so you guys think I have 2 of the same bowls? and back when it was running when you would choke it while it was warm it would shut off doesn't that mean my choke is functioning? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  20. I sprayed through them on both bowls and the spray just bounced back out the same hole Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  21. they both looked like they had very very tiny jets at the bottom of them Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  22. I have no idea I put the pics up of both of them and they look identical. I put a better choke tube on and tbe choke plunger feels awsome now it will stay out all day now and it started for a few seconds and now it seems to be trying but wont stay on for more then 1-5 seconds Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  23. both the bowls looked exactly the same and I cleaned the Jets at the bottom with carb spray and blew through with a straw Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  24. won't start even with starting fluid. doesn't even try. it has to be weak spark or timing Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  25. these carbs dont have tbe plastic piece around the main jet either how important is that? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
