I'll order up a couple 30's and maybe a couple 27.5's? I've got it second furthest from blunt end. I'm not running an air box. Just two k&n's. Also running boysen reeds. Should I change that as well? Runs good at higher rpm.
Ive just installed a stage 2 dynojet kit on my Banshee. I have full fmf exhaust and k&n filters. It recommended I use the 280 main and needle at second notch from the top as I am below 3000ft. I've got the air adjust screw 1 1/2 turns out. I've got it to idle good and I'm thinking the main is fine as well because after 2000rpm or so it rides good. The problem I have is when I try and accelerate fast it bogs. Also at idle it will bog and take longer than normal to idle back down. Would this mean I'm running lean on my pilot jet. Do I adjust the air adjust screw to 1 turn to run rich. I have been adjusting the air adjust but it doesn't seen to be making too much of a difference. Thanks for your help.
Okay I'll pull it apart. What a shitty gasket. I took the jugs and head to a local machine shop. He told me they were both straight. Torqued the head nuts on in order to 20 ft/lbs. Should I just get a new gasket? Re-torque?
After getting the top end together there seems to be quite a bit of what looks like water coming from the silencer. Its coming out pretty good. Took it on a ride and it continued to come out. How would water be getting into the exhaust? Would it be from a bad gasket seal?
do you recommend buying one or just making one? I didn't even think to do a leak down test. Just watched it on YouTube. So I wouldn't be able to tell if I'm running lean from just a idle stand point?
I just finished rebuilding the bottom and top end on my shee. Had a problem getting fuel into the jugs and finally by dumping some gas into the jugs it fired up. No I was in the process on seating the rings when i noticed coolant leaking from what looks like the bottom of the jugs exhaust side. Does the bottom jug gasket seal coolant or just air? Can coolant be leaking from here? The head doesn't appear to be leaking. Is there anywhere else to check? It idles perfect. Thanks
Do I need the little nibs that are in the bearings that seat in the top portion of the case? I know with after market ones they only come with one bearing with the nib. I have a crankshaft that feels nice and tight but is missing a nib. Do you need to have them on all four bearings?
I installed the carb sliders backwards. I was getting way too much fuel. Still wasnt starting. Swapped out the stator, fired up! Runs good. Even tho I had the right reading off the windings the stator was still bad.
I have spark only every 4-5 kicks. Stator windings test as should and I've tried two different flywheels. It has to be my cdi box? Producing only spark sometimes?
