Porting and a different set of pipes. Mostly depends on what setup your looking for. Top end, low end, etc. First thing you need to do is a compression check on the motor.

Done and back in action. Think I got a leak from the neutral switch cover. It's not cracked. Gonna replace o ring and put a little rtv on it before I boy the cover back up.

Yeah I guess assuming the locking tab would do it's thing was the mistake on my part. I always check the chain and adjusters and other small things before I ride. Just never really checked the drive sprocket unless I had the cover off. Oh well my screw up.

Will do. I don't know how it came off. I checked it about 3 months ago. Made sure it reached 60lbs of torque.

How much in and out play is tolerable on the drive sprocket shaft? I taught my buddy's girlfriend how to drive my banshee. She called a mile later and said it won't move! Long story short, the drive sprocket nut backed off and I can't find it. I notice about an 1/8th inch of in and out play.

Did you get the carbs out of sync?

I figure after this convo, I will get some shocks, anti vibe stem and some reeds. Try that and if I like the TMXA break the motor down and freshen it up. What tires you run?

I'm going next weekend to the practice track. It's supposed to similar to two or three tracks on the circuit. That set up makes perfect sense. I will have to start gathering stuff up. Gonna need some reeds and shocks for sure. Probably send the cylinders off later this year. Have the crank true and welded. What kind of shocks are y'all running? I have two motors. Thinking about setting one up for the track and one a 421 for goofing off in the off season.

I pm'd ddq last night. I would like to see how he set his up.
