  1. Thanks guys. I'll throw some fatter mains in.
  2. Can detonation come from lean condition? It's jetted for a little warmer weather.
  3. Had a odd experience the other day. When for 2nd rip of the season on the Cub. Went a few miles, all was good. Hammered down on it for a hundred yards or so, and when I let off it started backfiring a little. Gave it a shot of gas and back fired a tad more. So pulled over and checked stuff out. The stator side ceramic of the plug came loose. The plug was tight, but the ceramic moved up and down. Swapped plugs and took it easy home. Doesn't look like any ceramic was missing. How ever that cylinder is 6ish PSI lower than clutch side. I don't know if it was much different last year. Could just be a coincidence. What would you guys do? Seems to run start and run fine.
  4. I bought from Arsene racing. It was just a base gasket, but had no issues with the guy.
  5. yes, the one he linked is half the price of the one I linked. Looks to be about 1/2 the quility though.
  6. That one doesn't look bad if your going to keep it for a mild bike. Half the price of a Pingel. http://www.pingelonline.com/dirt-atv-fuel-valves/3110-d-ah61a-banshee-raptor.asp I guess if your not going to go real big (motor wise) that one would work fine.
  7. I guess I like to bang hookers bareback. Lights don't look too bad. Different. [emoji1531]
  8. Have you tried calling him? He listed his phone number in the ad.
  9. You may already know this, but buying just the cylinders is a fraction of what you will have to buy. You will need a lot more to make it a working engine, then there is a lot of other supporting mods that should(need to) be done. Give one of the sponsors here a call, and let em know your situation.
  10. I had both a serval and cub at same time. I opted to trade the serval off. My riding style is roads. Paved roads. Where doing 90+MPH is what I enjoy. They are two totally different machines. Could I of done stuff to the serval to equal the cub? Maybe. But I had to pick between the two. My vote is CUB. But my vote don't count, because your the rider. The serval did have loads of torque for bringing the front wheels up almost when ever I wanted. [emoji2]
  11. I ran stock pilots on a piped banshee with lid Removed +4 timing and shaved head. PS, my first job in 1995, I made $4.50/hr.
  12. Quick question. I can't see a way to tighten chain. Putting new sprockets and chain on a +6 swing bike and want to loosed it off all the way first.
  13. I'm thinking it coming from water pump? Pull off the plastic water pump cover and check under it. Under the plastic cover is a metal water pump cover that may need resealing. Or I could be out to lunch.
  14. It looks more like someone used a paint roller. I think a spray paint job would be a step up.
  15. I have not had any bike touch my 421 cub. Forget what sprockets, and 20" tire.
  16. Thanks guys. I'm from great white north, so I'll see if I can source em from up here to save on the shitty CUNUK dollar. I assume seeing I have a heavier big, I want the smaller tire to gain the extra "torque".
  17. Perfect, thanks for info. So looks like first thing i need to do, is get a 10" rim.
  18. what size tire should i be looking for in the American racers, and does it have to be them, or just a slick style tire like hoosier?
  19. it does have a lock up, but not adjusted for drag racing. i dont want to break any gears. lol I enjoy going to the track once a year, but that's about it. its mostly just for bragging rights, basically just want to have fun. and kick some ass while doing it. if i find a set of good tires, i may try them next year.
  20. That's what i was expecting. but its not set up and I'm not the best rider. 2.0 60Ft. so i know its not hooking Shearer pipes. I was trying 1st and 2nd gear. I think mostly 2nd i bought those tires mostly to ride on the back paved roads. figured they would be better than knobby.
