1. Just clean carbs/filter, do a leakdown test. If the leakdown test is good, I'd ride the hell out of it. Plenty of time for tear downs. With 130 psi you just need to ride
2. your fine
3. Your gonna have to throw a little more info out here, like Elevation what pipes are your cylinders ported Stock reeds/cages air box or pods
4. Timing plate is a cheap and easy mod that makes a noticeable gain. You will need to buy a flywheel puller(around $15.00)
5. Mike b. Think all this out. You got some very, very good advice here.
6. Nice looking banshee. I got some T6;s which are for stock bikes
7. If you are talking about a TRX450r, let me say that a YFZ450r will smoke the TRX if both are stock out of the box
8. Never had any problem with them
9. A small tackle box helps me keep some bolts together and other groups of screws/bolts separate, but still all in one place.
10. Do you have stock carbs? Tors? A banshee can run on one cylinder, so you got to determine if both cylinders are firing. I would check the reeds if the bike has been sitting for that long. If your sure the carbs are clean, floats working, needle valve/seat are all good, air filter clean, then I would do a leakdown test. Then a compression test. Check and clean ground wire. Check both plugs for fire. Good luck
11. Disconnect fuel line from carb, drain tank. Then drain carbs. Put fresh gas mixed with 2-cycle. You can do a compression test, but if you suffered damage its too late. I'd just see how it runs with new gas.
12. I have some of these on a 700xx, 2 years now. They still 50% good. I rip them all the time. Would buy them again
13. I agree, for 1200 its a steal and knowing the history of the bike is worth a lot.
14. For the money, I'd say the MR501 radial is best. They wont last as long as some others, but resist punctures very well
15. BEATDOWN, I know nothing about your product, but I'm gonna listen to these guys. Might want to tap-out
16. Man, don't use the degree key and timing plate. Just get the timing plate and set it at +4( Do use your stock woodruff key)
17. Yep, 373cc. Stock engine is 347cc
18. Thats a great little toyhauler for what you have in it. I've seen quite a few of those here in NC One guy has his on a gooseneck and when the bikes are unloaded he spreads the rug out, puts up a umbrella and some chairs. Instant patio
19. I think it would be nice to be able to port my own cylinders. These folks say its easy. I kinda doubt it. www.racelogic.com
20. It sounds like you might have some carb issues(not sure). A couple things you should do before tearing it down is a compression test and a leakdown test. If your engine passes a leakdown test and then you have, lets say at least 110lb of compression, then your ok. If your compression is below 100lbs, its about time for a top end. At this point you need to take your cylinders to a machine shop, and they can measure your cylinders and tell you if they need a bore and then order pistons to match
21. Yep, I'd say 280 mains also
22. That is one bad tractor, The ole dude knows how to wheel it around. Great vid
23. I thought I was gonna see some babes, that's just fucked up
