  3. Very cool man I dig the exhaust
  4. Thanks! it's coming along. Hope to take it out for its first ride on sunday
  5. OK here are some more pics of the build in progress Ive got the plastic just setting on the frame for looks nothing is painted or bolted down so yes it looks pretty crappy right now but It will be nice once its all finished up. Direct drive lock up with straight cuts nice pic of the intake port Pwk 33mm converted to alcohol just waiting for the billet bowls There it is almost ready for a shake down before getting torn down again for paint polish and a shave. the rest of the parts should be here thursday
  6. Many of the site sponsors offer good deals on a topend rebuild. I noticed in the video you have pipes and a couple of other mods you may wanna think about pulling the motor and removing your crank for inspection and have it sent off to be trued and welded while your doing your topend. Most site sponsors will do this for about $60. Its worth the money to spend $300 on a rebuid only to have a crank fail would be a bad day for sure. Even on a tight budget the engine is what makes these bikes what they are so it's the last place you wanna cut corners and skimp out save up a little longer and take the extra time and you will really get some great bang for your buck.
  7. Ya it ought to be an interesting ride lol. I might switch to a longer swingarm in the future but i wanna keep it a duner so who knows. ill post up some more pics later of the progress we made today
  8. OK well I figure now that my project is rolling it's time to start my build thread. Well up until about two weeks ago I owned a very nice pair of banshee's (93,94) both had typical bolt ons nothing fancy. Long story short sold both of them to fund this build and build a new motor for the wifes buggy. I didn't really know what I wanted for an end goal at the time but just knew that I wanted something that would wheelie on command and smoke some 4 pokes. And so it began. I was kicking around the idea of building a 10mil cub when the oppertunity to own a twister setup arised and I said what the heck sound like fun lets try it. and here it is. This is actually an older picture of it and yes it needs polished bad but I will post up some better pics once I get it polished and the new goodies on it. Now for the specs: 4mil 465cc Twister Ported by Kevin at HJR, Aggressive dune port Port matched cases cut trany, with the normal goodies Billet basket, Straight cut gears Direct drive lockup and cover 33 PWK's getting setup for Alky this week V force 3 reeds Billet intakes Shearer small bores inframes +4 chrome Ladder swingarm I'm going to the dunes on easter weekend so we decided to put it together so I could try it out and see where the bugs are then tear it back down and adjust what needs to be adjusted. Yesterday it all started has a pile of parts and now its a rolling chassis. It's going well I have all the rest of thaparts ordered that I was missing has aof last night. It won't be pretty but it should run well for easter. Once I get back r=from the easter trip I'll work on making it look nice. One of the neatest think on this build is that 90% of all the parts in it were from Banshee HQ members. So thanks to these members for helping me out with getting the parts for this build. Big Red 350x without his spare parts pile there would be no rolling chassis so thanks a ton Jared! Wacko2000 Joshz nasty racing
  9. Welcome to the madness! I agree with cline don't tear it down if it runs fine just enjoy it.
  10. Yep definately a set of outerwears. Also if you don't have paddles you will want some they help a ton in the sand and if you spend any time on this site in about a week you'll want pipes, coolhead, port work, 4mil crank........Welcome to the madness
  11. like it says I am looking for a shiny kickstarter.
  12. Motor arrived yesterday I really need some +2+1 A arms to finish my build
  13. Whats your budget? A cool head with some smaller domes would help give you a little more compression (not sure how far your stock head is milled) I'd look into doing a 4mil with a dune port setup from Kevin at HJR (on the site sponsors list) if ya got the money. But I definately agree with the other guys above port work is where the power is for the money. Good Luck with the build!
  14. Welcome. Once the two stroke fumes get into your brain your hooked. Lets see some pics of your new beast.
  15. I need these to finish my project. Looking for a nice set of +2 +1 A arms with some nice shocks elkas, fox, works ect. leets see what you got. Id love to have some setup for a 155lb rider.
  16. ok I will look at some of those dates and see what we can do thanks a bunch. I pmed Tyler a week ago and even pinned him down in the shout box but haven't heard back so I don't think it's gonna get the go ahead has an offical banshee HQ ride but oh well it will still rock.
  17. At 80psi I'd definately say it's time for a rebuild but just to add a little to this conversation don't forget that a persons elevation plays a part in there compresion as well. I'm at 5500 ft above sea level and ride at 6500ft. A new top end at this alltitude in right around 100-105 psi. We require the use of smaller domes in a cool head just to get up to stock compresion at this altitude. Good luck with your bike and welcome to HQ.
  18. Got some paddles guys thanks fo the intrest
  19. I'm gonna set down and actually look at the calendar this weekend and come up with a few dates to see what work best for everyone. I'm planning on a three day deal over a weekend out there so it should be a good time. if anyone has any suggestions on dates let me know I'd like to really start getting this planned soon. I know Big Red and I are heading up on easter weekend I'm just hoping I have my bike built by then. Get me some suggestions on dates.
