Hi guys I'm new on here and have been doing alot of reserch for my future build but my motor is still running strong so it's not time for that yet. I live in Wyoming and ride in an elevation from 5,200-6000 ft. I ran a compression test on the bike today and she came out at 100psi on both sides. So considering my elvation I have been told I am right where i need to be for compression on a stock motor. I would like a little more power just like everyone else on here so i'll cut to the chase. I don't wanna do a full build until my topend is worn out so here is my idea. I was thinking about swapping my head out for a cool head and 18cc domes to try and put some of the compression back into the motor to compensate for my elevation. I figure I will need a new head anyways when i move to a stroker build in the future.
Current setup is: 93 Banshee, stock cylinders and crank, pro design intake with uni arir filter and outerwear, T5's, Boysen reeds,
What would be the best dome size to stay on pump gas for my elevation?
Is one brand of cool head better than the others?
Would this be enough to fry my unwelded stock crank or to much for a stock clutch?
Thanks guys!
