  1. Man this is SOOOO cheap. 250Rs here sell for like twice that much...
  2. I run those: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/4/30/397/8947/ITEM/Dunlop-KT335-Radial-Rear-ATV-Tire.aspx they grip pretty hard. Paid 71$ CAD each.
  3. YFZ shocks on banshee a-arm will mess up the balljoint as they are too long. You end up binding the joints, and you cannot even use the shock's full droop. With the YFZ a-arm, I don't know. With my +2 +1 strong arm A-arms I can use ~1" longer shock before maxing out the joints. As far a swingarm go, I would not go with a longer one, I have a -1 and it's a blast. You can pop the front end whenever you want and you have quite a bit more traction.
  4. Mine did similar until I realised the ignition key wire was broken so pulling the clutch or turning the handle bar made it stall.
  5. If the gear doesn't show any colouring, you're ok. It starts to get yellow at 390F. http://www.smex.net.au/Reference/SteelColours.htm
  6. I just did my own -1 swingarm (turns out to be close to -1.25 because of chain adjustement). It feels really good but it's winter here and I only tried it in the snow with 4-snows. It's better than stock for sure.
  7. If the thread in your A-Arm is M16, then get a regular ball joint, not an heim. 20$ from ricky stator.
  8. +1 for Mattoon. I only bought their a-arm bushing kit, but it was priced low and quality was there.
  9. If they are M16 thread, Ricky Stator ball joints looks good and are cheap.
  10. Anyone of you two check out how much shipping would be and we'll check after ! Thanks
  11. I'm looking for a shortened swingarm or a stock one I could shorten for cheap. Thanks !
  12. Since english isn't my first language, I'd have a hard time correctly explaining the motion ratio on a forum so I'll let wiki do it for me. It's not totally complete, but it's not so bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_ratio @MattSCSS, where thinking exactly the same. When I said the best was to try and be as close to the wheel as possible, I meant when you can design a custom shock with desired damping and stroke. When I refer to "as possible", I mean you have to find the happy medium. As for using shocks from another vehicule, it CAN work, but it won't be good unless you do a bit of math and/or trial and error.
  13. Do you have a pic of the rear skid plate ? Would you ship to Canada ? Thanks
  14. Stock shocks are 14 3/4" extended, eye to eye. If you Ohlins are this lengt, they will feel stiffer on stock a-arm due to the different motion ratio. If they are longer / long travel, they won't work without custom work on your stock a-arms.
  15. Moving the shocks closer to the wheel will change the motion ratio of your suspension and stiffen it. You'd have to measure the 450r motion ratio and the banshee's modified and stock one to give you an idea of how it would feel. In a world where you could dial in the damping you want in your shocks, you try to be as close as possible to the wheel. That way, it's easier to control small bumps and high frequency oscillations.
  16. I have +2 +1 arm on mine and with stock rims it ended up the same width as stock a-arm with flipped wheels. Fits in trails no problems and handle quite better. Love them.
  17. I got some dunlop KT335 for pretty cheap (71$ CAN, so you should be able to get them at like 60$ US even if dollar is almost on par) and they hook pretty good. Very similar to the othsu. They are the stock raptor 660, z400 tires.
  18. Silicone grease for urethane bushings is SUPER sticky and should not degrade o-ring. You could also use caliper slide pin grease but it's less sticky.
  19. Did you check back your jetting at your "normal" altitude ? I'm asking because I just picked up some T5 and I'd like to use the stock silencers because where I live there is sometimes cops in the trails and the give tickets to loud exhaust so I'd like to get by with black t5 headers and stock silencers. I'm also wondering where I should start jetting. P.S. I just noticed I dug out a really old thread, but I think it's still relevant so anybody feel free to comment...
  20. My friend loved his on his unported engine but he put a build engine from another quad that used PC before, and with the trinity it's now really shitty down low. I'd love to give you more details, but, from what I saw, it's more of a top end pipe.
  21. I'm happy to see this, even tho I wouldn't have complained much, I would just have spent even more time on this forum lol
