When I got the banshee the guy told me it needed a new clutch, which really was no big deal since I got the shee for $500. But when we went to put the new clutch in, the transmission shift shaft wouldnt go all the way through, something is blocking it. So I am going to split the case sunday and hope i can get a new tranny main axle and be good. But if not I dont know what I am going to do. And yes the case is still good. My shee has been sitting for a month and I am going crazy, I want to go riding in the worst way lol.

Well I need a new tranny in my shee (not happy right now) and before I split the case and all that good stuff, would it be easier to buy a bottom end as a whole case and all? I have about $700 I can put into this, hoping I dont spend it all on the tranny because I need a couple of other things but what would you guys do if you where about to put a new tranny in your shee?

No stator, flywheel, or carbs. I just found out today a good friend of mine knows someone with a bad ass banshee that just wants to get rid of it because he is going through a divorce and doesnt want the x to get it (im going through a divorce myself and im just buying shit left and right lol). So im going to look at it tonight but after everything he told me it has, im probably buying another one tonight lol.

No the guy i got it from gave me the rod, he said he didnt know how to install it. I will try the magnet first but I think im going to have to taking it apart tonight anyway and i will see what actually happened.

Well i was talking to a couple shops in my area that only deal with banshees and the one place has got a true 4 mil complete engine. I think its on the expensive side $1500. But im spliting the case tomorrow night and see whats going on before i do anything.

Well I was putting my new clutch on my shee the other night (the bike didnt come with any plates or frictions and the push rod was not in there) and noticed the push rod would not go in at all, like something was blocking it. Im guessing the bike might need a new bottom. So before I split the case and rebuild it, I was thinkning of just buying a ready to go 4mil complete engine. What would you guys do in this situation, rebuild (im only 1mil over now) or 4mil new engine? If anyone is selling a working stock bottom end, Im all ears lol.

do you still have the front brake calipers?

Put the pistons in last night and now just waiting for my clutch and a arms. This is my first rebuild and everything is going good so far (knock on wood).

Thanks guys. This is my first attempt to a rebuild and I think everything is going great but I am still a little nervous when I go to start the shee for the first time.

Im about to buy some a arms right now, whats a good price for a new set? I found some new for around $400.

Never broke in a fresh top end before. What do some of you guys do when breaking in you shee.

Im just going to wait till saturday to do everything. I dont want to rush and mess something up tonight. Will take pics when i start building the shee back up.

All my parts finally came in for me shee I've been rebuilding. Not doing anything tonight but thinking about doing it tomorrow night. Just thought I'd share how happy I was, thats all.

Now the question is, is $50 a good price for a gallon of suoer techniplate
