  3. Not sure what the pros use but I recently used jb epoxy for my T-Rex build and has held up pretty good, Fixed 2 holes in my cases and my jug doesn't match up on the block at all,so far so good I call it My 10mil epoxy build lol
  4. Www.Photobucket.com Lets see this old timer shee
  5. Damn and I was looking forward to see some pics
  6. Fuck I wish I could blow my load all over that top end!! Glwts
  7. I've actually seen the carbon build up on a set of polished cylinders.so that is why I'm a lil shocked to hear it doesn't produce much power to even bother polishing the exhaust.but that is why we are here in the first place is to learn and share idea's.damn thing is I just polished one jug on a Athena kit and not so sure about doing the other lol
  8. So now it's best not to polish the exhaust port? Shit just never ends Just like how some people polish the intake and some don't
  9. Top end showed up.everything is as described and pictured.thanks buddy
  10. That explains the no bottom end power lol ill screw with it tomorrow and set it up like the website says
  11. That's what I was thinking,it was altogether when I got it so I didn't screw with it
  12. Got a dumb question. After reading on the web about the rave power valve I discovered the spring for the valve on my T. rex is inside of the rubber boot.is that the correct way it's supposed to go?on the web it's behind the cover with the lil red adjustments thingy.maybe that's why I have Zero bottom end? Lol.so on my T. rex it's open all the time it kinda tickled me,like how in the fuck is the exhaust supposed to suck it in and why would it be closed at wot? It don't make sence to me
  13. So when u say porting,do you have to lower the transfers to match the stroke? Awhile back I asked chucky at superior sleeve about getting the old stock stroke ss jug I had set up for a 4mil,he said it could be done but it wouldn't idle.pretty much told me what had to be done was to cut the transfers lower and use edelbrock epoxy to lower the top of the transfers and exhaust.am I makin any sence?lol Tony at tdr pretty much said the same, only difference was he said it would be easyer with a degree wheel
  14. It's a Athena bbk,if it can't be done then no biggy. I read they were junk but with a lil tlc they should do fine
  15. Is it possible to use a spacer plate on a stock cylinder for a 4mil crank? Or is a 4mil jug needed
  16. did you do a rejet for the better air flow? yeah it would be hard to tell the performance when your spinning out all the time. best example i can give is my first clean up port job when i first bought my banshee for 3k.first thing i did was pull the top end off and cleaned the ports up and polished the exhaust.i had procircuits and 15/41 sprockets with 20in tires.020 bore with stock style pistons.my bro's banshee was 040 no port work same sprockets and tires he had fmf fattys.and guess what...id whoop his ass to the point where i thought he was only letting me win.he was trying hard but it was neck in neck and my shee would come out on top every time
  17. wow some replys worth reading. its just too bad when a member asks about porting he automatically gets gang raped by other members whom would rather send their jugs out. so to those who would rather not share their porting experience/experiments on this thread,pm me i would like to hear your storys
