  1. Started right up on the 2nd kick, and idles very smooth. No test rides yet, as Im still putting the rest of the bike back together. So far, I really like the PWKs!
  2. yeah I should have known that. I think I got the parking brake and the TORS box mixed up.
  3. You said it got you back to camp. Was it running normal getting you back to camp? Maybe the parking brake switch is causing problems? A lot of people here have problems with the parking brake switch. Most disconnect it.
  4. Welcome to BHQ! Take some pics of the bike, post them here and tells us more about it. Why is it taken apart? Blown Motor? I think a stock Banshee is in the same ballpark performance wise as a stock 700? Im new here as well, so I don't know for sure. Im sure someone will chine in. The good news is Banshees are pretty easy to work on, and not too expensive as well. There seems to be plenty of used parts available here in the For Sale Section. There are a lot of experienced and helpful folks here as well. Good luck with your Banshee and keep us posted on your progress.
  5. I think 158-160 might be a little high. The pump gas here in Saudi is not very good.
  6. The one you are looking at has a few problems, so I would not pay over 1000-1500 tops for it (depends on how it looks, maybe less if its ragged). There are lots of good running Banshees on CL for 2000-3000.
  7. Ok where are you located?
  8. I received my 2 brand new PWK 28 Carbs in the mail, and they both have a choke plunger? Ive never seen that before? I think only one carb of the pair should have a choke plunger? I think my vendor may have made a mistake, please help me confirm. Thanks,
  9. I didn't see anywhere in the story where you checked the spark on that cyl. Check all the connections, maybe swap the plug wires around. Get new plugs (yes occasionally a plug can go bad). See if there is a local banshee owner from here that can halp as well. I know how frustrating things can et, but don't give up! good luck and keep us posted.
  10. These 2 possibilities, and I have also seen an overheat from a radiator cap that doesn't hold pressure.
  11. Used modded Banshees seem to go for around 2000 to 3000, depending on condition. Check it out, they seem like they are in the same ballpark of value. . Maybe it has jetting issues? There is not really much risk of blowing up unless it hes too high of compression for pump gas, or it is jetted too lean. Both of these issues are pretty easy and not to expensive to address. There seem to be lot's of Banshees on CL, and the prices aren't that high... maybe keep the Odyssey and get Banshee? Good luck and keep us posted on what you do, Welcome to BHQ!
  12. Sounds like a sweet build! I think your going to just about double your horsepower? Should be fun, don't forget to post pics.
  13. Thanks! Based on my research I was looking at about 155/48. Good to see I am in the ballpark.
  14. I only saw a couple somewhat similar setups in the Jetting thread, so I thought I post a request for advise here. Stock Bore, No porting (new Banshee, about 3 months old) T5 Exhaust system Noss/FAST Cool Head, 21CC Domes 28mm PWK Carbs/K & N Pods +4 Timing Sea Level Hot Climate Thanks,
  15. Oh yeah...... I forgot about that.
  16. Nice Banshees. Will they both fit in the back of the DMax?
  17. The DMax is Bad-Ass! I bet you can surprise quite a few sporty cars? My Camaro has LT Headers and Intake/Tune. Im keeping it like that here in Saudi, it's hard to get parts and decent service over here (and I don't have many tools here... my good stuff is in my house in FL), so it's going to stay close to stock.
  18. Looks awesome! Hydro-dipped I guess? Hey what radiator/grill cover is that you have there?
  19. Thanks, I put a pic of the Maro in my Signature. Have you upgraded the dura max much? Those things can be TQE monsters with just a few upgrades I guess. Post a pic up if you get a chance, and also the Banshees.
  20. Welcome to BHQ! Im pretty new to Banshees myself, and everyone here has been very helpful to me. That's sweet that you have 2 banshees right out of the gate, one to ride, one to wrench on. My advise to you: 1. Get the Clymer manual 2. Read as much as possible here. 3. If you can't find the info you need thru the search function, post up your initial questions here. It seems the Banshee is pretty easy to work on, the problem with mine is it's brand new, and a lot of the nuts and bolts seem to be put on with factory "Gorilla Torque" Have fun and keep us posted on how you like the new machines! PS- I have a Camaro too.... You should be able to figure out which model by my nickname here.
  21. Thanks man, Just good to have confirmation since I don't have directions, and I'm new to the Banshee world.
  22. Ok thru internet research, and just common sense, Im 99.9% sure I have it figured out. If anyone here can 100% confirm the upper A arm looks correctly mounted in these pics, I would appreciate it.
  23. I made the font bigger for everyone's sake. Um.... the pump 95 gas here in Saudi is close to 91-92 in the USA. I know, Im from USA, and I had to retune my Camaro due to the crappy Octane of the so called premium gas here. Sounds like an interesting build. I think most people recommend around 21CC domes on pump gas 91-92? Anyways, Im no Banshee motor expert, I just wanted everyone to understand that your 95 gas is a LOT different than 95 in the US. Good luck, and keep us posted with your results.
  24. I bought a kit with LSR A Arms, +2/+1 kit and Elka shocks, and Im starting the install process. There were no instructions with the kit, and the guide on LSR just covers setting the alignment after the install is complete. It seems pretty straight forward with one exception- What side do the upper arms go on? I have the bottom Arms figured out using the LSR logos as a guide, but Im not sure which upper goes on which side? The bags they came in were not labeled. Should the Arm appear arched upwards, like a hill? or sagging in the middle, like a valley? The arms seem identical, but I could be wrong. I guess a better way to ask, is on the upper A Arms, I guess the grease fitting goes on the top (just like on the bottom A Arm)? Thanks, Tim
