Couldn't have said it any better than how Johnathon put it right here^. This is basically what I was trying to say in my previous post but juan put it out there clear as day. Differences aside, get a hold of all the track owners only, set the rules and let everyone else bitch about them when they are officially posted. They don't like them, they don't race. Simple as that. I say simple and I know it isn't but humor me here

Broken piston on right bank
FullThrottle_06' replied to Texas2stroke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
^This^, Doesn't make two shits what the pistons say, they are junk and going in the trash anyway. You can replace them with whatever you like after you find out what bore those cylinders are at or what size they need to be bored to. Me personally, I would go with wiseco pro-light pistons but there are other, cheaper options out there if you choose to go that route. As far as your cylinders and crank go, send both of those items out to a site sponsored builder and let them check them out for you. Problem solved -
If all of us can get on the same page about the topics that people are concerned with such as safety and structure, I honestly think that ATV drag racing can attract big name sponsors. The ego shit with some needs to be put aside and we need to try and work towards a common goal. Growing the sport into what we all know it can be. I'm a no-body, everyday joe schmoe weekend racer with the average banshee (and barely that). I race for fun and getting to know and meet new people as do a lot of others. Winning races and going rounds just makes it that much more fun. For people who have been involved in the sport MUCH longer than myself and have deeper pockets, with faster bikes, and travel the PSDA sanctioned races are the people who I rely on to pave the way for us weekend warriors on growing the sport to attract the big name sponsors. No different than AMA supercross the way I look at it. I feel those are the people who will be able to tap into the resources and make the contacts that we (ATV drag racing) needs to make this happen. I support what Tyler and Brett are trying to do for us all and see where they are trying to make things happen that others were not able to do for some reason or another. I'm sure there is a whole lot more people involved than the two names I have mentioned but I'm just a by stander and only know what I can read from reputable sources within the ATV community. Some will like it, some won't it's just how the ball rolls. People can either get on the train or GTFO the tracks. At least the attempt is being made. Sorry for the long ass windycity post. As you were..

I figured you were the one who snagged them being that's pretty close to your new frame color -
Broken piston on right bank
FullThrottle_06' replied to Texas2stroke's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
There are part numbers stamped on top of the pistons but you may have to take some emery cloth to them to be able to see it. They will be kind of faint People on here have already told you, there is part numbers on the connecting rods on the crankshaft to identify what you have. Such as the "29L" Posting pictures is the best way to get better help. You can use Photobucket or Tapatalk. Your choice on which you choose. -
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221368334841 This wouldn't happen to be the one your bidding on is it? This guy who is selling this tank (JD, with JDS Customs) is a site sponsor on here and he is a good dude to do business with so don't hesitate to bid. IMS makes the larger tanks for these machines but I have no clue what they cost new? I hope this helps, good luck with your search.

Got my new seat cover from Jeff today. It is an all black carbon fiber with black stitch. Nothing fancy but I'm more a "less is more" kinda guy. Called him Sat. Afternoon and received it today (Thursday). Cover looks great and I'm very pleased with it. Thanks Jeff.

And why the F' I don't have one of these in my toolbox I don't know but I will be getting one. Thanks Sprinkles!

Two options: (1)Find the biggest philips head screw driver you have in your tool box. Insert screw driver into screw head and smack it a few times (not too hard). May loosen the threads. Also real quick, I have grabbed a pair of vise grips and clamped them down on the screw driver shaft to get more leverage than trying to grip the shit out of the handle. Apply as much downward force as possible. (2) Screw extractor set.

Hummer84 has exactly what your looking for. Shoot him a P.M.

Check and double check that your slides are sync'd properly and your throttle cable has a nice smooth route to the carb. tops. You've been playing with the timing so I would pull the stator cover and make sure your timing plate is set correctly and locked down tight (most likely your problem). Also check the pick-up gap between fly wheel and pick-up. Could also suggest to check your reeds and make sure they are good.

That's the stock crossover tube we were explaining to you in earlier posts. That's what you want to see.

FAST or REDLINE both have good clutches for sale. Both are around $100 I think? Invest in a pancake bearing while your at it. In the future if you wish you can upgrade to a billet basket but I know your trying to stay on a budget.

WOW, you guys are putting WAAAY too much thought into this. Its a damn leak down tester FFS! You can buy all this crap at a hardware store and you can find the gauge at an autoparts store. Takes all of 30 mins to DIY Step-By-Step guide to building one of these in the "technical" section or quit bitching and buy Sprinkles kit for $45 shipped.

OP, do NOT run 50:1 these aren't freakin weedeater engines. 32:1 or 40:1, pick one or the other. As far as your pre-mix goes, castor927 is fine, nothing wrong with that (I use Klotz and so do a lot of other folks but sometimes it's personal preference and availability) If I were you, while your cleaning the carbs real well and noting what jets are currently in them. It may not be a bad idea to go ahead and pull your reeds and make sure they are ok also but you may want to order (4) new reed gaskets before you do that. Sometimes you can rip or damage the old gaskets when taking them off. Not totally necessary but it wouldn't hurt to look at them since you already have the carbs off. One last quick note pertaining to your intakes. If that bike has a boost bottle, throw that shit in the trash and get a stock crossover tube. FAST Racing sells them, they are a trusted site sponsor. They also carry a lot of other OEM parts if you may need any. Everything you are describing definitely sounds like straight carb issues. Building yourself a good leak down tester and checking for leaks is also a very good idea. There is a thread in the "technical" section on the main forum page that will tell you step by step on how to build it. You can buy all of the supplies at your local hardware store. Don't get discouraged and welcome to the HQ

I let the gov. buy them back off me. Those things kill people ya know?

There is a "wanted" section if you scroll further down the forum homepage.
