Installed the T5s, TORs delete is a PITA
FullThrottle_06' replied to LS3 Machine's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Someone had one to many shots before he got on the computer! I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and blame this post on the tequilla! This guy ain't braggin about his money bro, he's just simply saying that he would rather go ahead buy new carbs than deal with an issue that he wasn't completely satisfied with. I've done the TORS delete and had no issues, but this fella wasn't as fortunate and would rather move on to better manufactured carbs. No big deal, who cares -

Damn, that IS bad ass! I like it. Let us see more examples of some different wraps and color of plastics when you complete some more sets.

You won't hear or see the air leaks. You'll need to do a leak down test to find them.
-
What kind of set up are you running? My advice, take the carbs back out and clean the piss out of them. Possible air leak? let us know
-
You gonna use those cylinders? If not P.M. me I live in Ft. Smith

06' Stock Jetting Help!
FullThrottle_06' replied to FullThrottle_06''s topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Well......Parts didn't show today. Go figure?? So in the mean time, trying to not to waste another day I tried my last and final move until the dynajet kit shows up. I put it bike back to exactly what it had in it when I bought it. 320 main, 25 pilot, Needle 3rd position (middle clip). Close.. but no cigar. So now with rain threatning my tuning sessions after I get off work tomm. and my bike needing to be tuned and ready to rock by friday morning. Chances are I'm just going to have to miss this race and wait until next month to go raise hell. I'm not gonna lie it's frustrating not getting in tune yet but I love a challenge. This just became personal!! lol -

06' Stock Jetting Help!
FullThrottle_06' replied to FullThrottle_06''s topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I'm gonna get her. That Jet kit is suppose to be here tomm. I had one more idea to try but I didn't jack with it today. I'll hit her up tommorow. I believe by then my anger will have calmed. Do you know any more information on the needle subject? I find that kinda interesting and didn't know that the stokers were only good until 280.\ Sandtrax out of Tulsa Ok. is who i'm doing buisness with. My good family friend that I have known ever since I was a little kid is sponsored through them and has been for the past 10yrs or so. -
06' Stock Jetting Help!
FullThrottle_06' replied to FullThrottle_06''s topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
That's what this guy was trying to explain to me. This was the first time doing buisness with these people and I belive the guy I was talknig too was the owner/operator. I told him what year I had, plus my mods and he stopped me mid sentence after I told him and said " it's the stock needles". He then proceded to explain why. -
06' Stock Jetting Help!
FullThrottle_06' replied to FullThrottle_06''s topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
your english isn't very bad Pasi I follow ya. I'm not so much worried about gaining a shit load of horsepower by adjusting my mains or anything. I just was the bitch run right! I have literally been jackin with this thing for 2 weeks now! trying to get it right. Maybe the dyna jet is a good idea? Maybe it isn't? but I have to try somthing because nothing I'm doing is working. I'm trying to make it out to the sand by this coming sat so we'll see.... -
06' Stock Jetting Help!
FullThrottle_06' replied to FullThrottle_06''s topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
For my sake, I hope I can too. It flat out kicked my ass yesterday. It's a challenge doing this on my own but thankfullly I have guys I can ask for advice. Just know one physically to help me. I thought I was gonna have it yesterday but....not so much. I got pissed off and just let it sit for the rest of the day. Made a couple phone calls and was givin advice to order up a dyna jet jetting kit. It's suppose to be in tuesday so hopefully that will solve my problem. The guy that sold it to me has been working on and tuning banshee's since they debut back in 87. So naturally I took his advice. He explained to me that my problem was basically my stock needles so hopefully this kit will get me where I need to go. -
TORS Removed... Idle Screw Adjustment Qustion?
FullThrottle_06' replied to frankO 7's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I probably have my jargon screwed up but being that the banshee's are a twin cylinder (two carbs), there is a rubber hose that runs between the two carburators. I believe it has to do with choke operation but don't quote me on that, i'm still learning myself. U need to make sure that hose is installed or you will not be able to get that bitch to run at all. Inside the throttle lever housing, there is what I call a "mini micro switch" that made the T.O.R.S. operate. What I'm talking about is the black wire that runs out of the housing. Double check and make sure its all fully disconnected. -

No, I was just using the T5 for an expample because I know the T5's are used on bikes with similar mods that I mentioned in my last post. What I was getting at, are these pipes more for shee's that have more than just the common mods or...not really? I went on the net and tried to pull Borrink's web page and that sucker is completely jacked! Where can a guy go look into purchasing a set, or reading what the manufacture has to say about them?
-
Are these pipes more for Heavily modded shee's? Or are they kinda like the T5's in a sense. Such as just some minor mods like porting, reeds, cool head, advance timing? From what I keep hearing and reading, these are freakin badass! I wouldn't mind hearing more peopls views and opinions on these particular pipes
