  1. Why do people say this? The HQ will shrink them down just fine. Put them on Photobucket or the like and paste the img file in your post. It's that simple.
  2. I have never found anyone that would powder coat factory a arms because the grease will run, no matter what position it's in. Give it a try on the junk one and let us know how it goes. My guess is it won't but you could be the first. P.S. No need to post the same thing in more than one place. It'll get some people angry, you don't want to see them angry.
  3. Which epoxy did you use? I'm going to try and rough up the surface and clean it with brake clean to make the epoxy stick the best it can. I'll let you know how it goes.
  4. I'm gonna try to remove the insert with the bolt attached so I can apoxy it back in and then replace the bolt. If I can't get it to work I'll let you know. Thanks for your help, gotta love the HQ!
  5. If I can't fix it how much do you want for a tank shipped to 85730?
  6. I was securing the front plastics to the tank when I heard and felt a pop. The bolt is spinning inside the tank mounting hole. It turns left and right but won't get any tighter or looser. I'm sure I'll have to cut off the head off the bolt but what then? Anyone ever have this happen to them?
  7. I found this 'chart': Sea Level 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc 197 178 171 170 165 145 19cc 183 167 160 158 152 137 20cc 169 156 149 146 140 129 21cc 156 145 138 134 128 121 stock 130 125 118 112 106 100 on this thread: http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68439&st=0&p=581714&hl="compression%20chart"&fromsearch=1entry581714 hope it helps.
  8. Doesn't elevation affect timing too? What is the elevation where you live?
  9. Cool, thanks.
  10. How?
  11. Someone else might know where to get one free online. I bought a printed Clymer manual on E-bay for around $30, well worth having one in hand. Just be sure it covers 87-06 as some only cover a few years.
  12. Welcome to the HQ! My best advice is to get a manual. Lots of guys here run ATF F but with your setup something else may be better. Again, welcome.
  13. Wow, those bikes are DIRTY. Clean em up before you post them for sale. Gotta love your 'keywords'. I'm sure someone looking for a Ninja, or one of the hundreds of other things really wanted to see your ad. There's a reason CL prohibits them and your ad probably keeps getting flagged.
  14. I don't know what I was thinking before! Don't get FF arms, call Tim at Stellar. He is a site sponsor and will built you a arms for whatever shocks you want to run. For just a few more dollars you will get a MUCH better a arm.
  15. Yoru best bet would be to ask the people you're going to buy the arms from. On E-bay I assume. They will probably sell you different arms for different shocks.
  16. I PMd him and he said they are sold.
  17. Throw out a price. 3. Prices are mandatory! This is not eBay or an auction. Failure to post a price will result in deletion of your post.

  19. They look factory cut, gonna try it with mine. Any excuse I can find to play with a torch!
  20. Head looks okay, ?might just need a hone on the jugs? time for new pistons, reeds are stock and can't tell their condition by the pictures but an upgrade is fairly cheap and really easy. Once you take the cylinders off you can check further. I'm not a engine pro but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
  21. 1. Why would you want to wire directly from the mag? 2. You need the regulator, fully installed, that's why it's there. 3. If your regulator is fully installed and you're still blowing bulbs you have an electrical problem and need a manual to track it down. 4. The easiest way to wire your lights to stay on all the time is to connect the wires that control the level, high or low beam, together. Done. 5. Get a manual, or search for a wiring diagram online, if you need to know which wire is which.
  22. Sure, I use my hammer to cut all kinds of things. WTF?
  23. I'm 41... and a half. I get a lot of interesting email from a retired client. This is one of many 'good old days' things he's sent. A lot of them are things my parents would know better than me. I don't complain about his old time stuff because he is a bit of a dirty old man and sometimes includes NSFW content.
  24. The Green Thing In the line at the store, the cashier told an older woman that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment. The woman apologized to him and explained, "We didn't have the green thing back in my day." The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment." He was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day. Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over. So they really were recycled. But we didn't have the green thing back in our day. We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks. But she was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day. Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw-away kind. We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry the clothes. Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right; we didn't have the green thing back in our day. Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana. In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us. When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power. We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity. But she's right; we didn't have the green thing back then. We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water. We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull. But we didn't have the green thing back then. Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service. We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances. And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.
