I joined a month after buying a blown up Banshee that had some nice aftermarket parts. I had questions, Banshee HQ had answers. While rebuilding what is now 'The Black Bike' I wanted something to ride so I bought another Banshee that wasn't what I wanted but gave me something to ride. Once I had finished 'The Black Bike' I discovered that I had almost enough extra parts to build another Banshee. I sold Banshee #2, bought a frame and started 'The White Bike'. By the end of next week 'The White Bike' should be finished and I'll have Ying and Yang. Pics to follow. We're here to help each other, I got lots of it and want to keep it going.

You're asking for help on a forum dedicated to Banshees and getting advice from guys that rebuild them in their sleep. LISTEN TO THEM! Where do you live? There might be someone from the HQ that is close enough to help.

Both my Banshees are street legal here in Tucson, AZ. Just had to ad a horn and mirror. They aren't great on the street but it's still fun and I get all kinds of looks.

Decide what kind of riding you want to do and then look around for ideas about motor and suspension types to fit your needs. After that it's all about the $.

You got a REALLY good deal! Now it's time to clean it up good, check for any problems like loose or broken bolts and maybe even get it powdercoated! Post up pics of your progress, we all want to see the transformation.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. I found a full set for just over $100.

All one color can be a bit much, except black, all black is still sweet. One of my bikes is all black, the other all white. They look best when I mix and match parts so they are black and white.

There's one on CL here in Tucson for $700 that needs a rebuild, still no takers. If I didn't just rebuilt 2 bikes from the ground up I might be interested but it's time to stop building and start riding!

Might be the key switch, most guys remove it. Might also be a bad ground.

I know Tim at Stellar makes sub frames like that. I'd bet he could make a grab bar of the same style... I can't wait to get my new swingarm from him later this week!

It's a maxi-seat. Where are the wings? I hope it's super absorbant for those hill climbs that make you soil yourself.

The title of this thread is "Basic MX shee." DJ Lil Mike wasn't looking to spend a lot to improve his Banshee. Some people tried to help him on the cheap, others wanted him to spend big bucks. Matt did an incredible write up about shocks, a arms and overall Banshee performance vs other quads. Safe to say Lil Mike has all the information he needs. If he has any other questions I'm sure he will post or PM someone.

How cheap are you willing to sell them? Without pics I have no idea what condition they are in. Post or send me a pic and we'll see.
