Brand new 2010 yamaha banshee for sale
vifferman replied to Johnny H-pipe's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
LOL, international phone number, bike is from Mexico or somewhere else out of the USA. You're asking "$15K F.O.B", what is F.O.B? Is it in Aruba or Florida? -
Trans vent tube leak when vertical
vifferman replied to vifferman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the tube that is leaking comes directly out of the back of the trans, nothing else connects to it. It is definitely trans fluid and not coolant -
Trans vent tube leak when vertical
vifferman replied to vifferman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I removed the coolant reserve bottle. I've never seen one for the tranny. PM me when you come to Tucson and we'll go riding. I have two Banshees so you won't have to bring yours. -
So I was loading the white bike in my truck without using the ramp and as soon as it was vertical trans fluid started pouring from the rear vent tube. I don't remember this happening with either of my other 2 Banshees. I searched already and only found info on pressure in the trans case but it doesn't leak unless it's vertical. My fluid level is good, low now that some leaked out. The motor was just completely rebuilt, the bottom by a local shop and the top by me. Any ideas?

I use the Clymers, but mostly because I've never seen a Haynes manual for a Banshee. Get both

Why do you want a 2 - 1 exhaust?
-
It was funny but I was serious too. I needed a set of seals for my 2 into 1 intake so I sent them a PM here on the HQ. Over a week later I get a PM back to call them, so I did. The 3 seal set was going to be $10 plus shipping. $10 seems a bit high as I found gaskets that would work at the hardware store for under $3 but ordered them anyway. The gentleman I talked to didn't know how much shipping would be but said they would charge me actual shipping. My account was charged over $16. $5 to pack and ship an envelope? I understand they are a business and need to make money, I own a small business myself, but next time I'll pass on $5 shipping and use the other gaskets. Rant mode off, I'm going to In n Out.

Thanks, I think it came from browncardigan.com but I don't remember.

That's because food is better than Trinity.

Kerosene quickly and easily removes old lubricants and other gunk from your chain withou preventing the new lubricants from doing their job. If your chain is rusty I would recommend replacing it.
-
Sounds like the magnet may have fallen off or the pickup is too far away from the magnet. You many also have to reset your tire size or it won't know how far each revolution is. I think there is a base setting for tire size so I would bet it's a problem with the magnet and sensor.

Good idea, if the motor is all together and on the bike do you put the penny between the chain and gear?

This is my last post on this thread as I'm going to jump off a large bridge in frustration. In your original post at 7:06 am you asked about a red shock, we told you it was JUNK. Next at 7:35 am you asked about another shock, we told you it was JUNK. Yesterday at 1:34 am you asked about the same shock as 7:35 am from the same seller as the 19th with a different title, IT'S JUNK. Who cares if they will fit, they are JUNK and you don't want them. If you want to kill yourself or someone else by riding with JUNK suspension parts feel free, just tell us where you'll be so we don't ride anywhere near you.

thank you for the compliments! I started the black bike in December of last year, finished it before starting the white bike and just finished it this month. I look forward to getting some pics of your battery and horn set up! Your Banshee would fit right in with the best in the USA, You did a great job.
-
There is no rush on taking pictures of your horn, I appreciate you doing it whenever you can! We don't have batteries in our Banshees here, did you ad it? Both my Banshees were stripped down to the frame and powdercoated, one black, one white. Neither has been in the dirt or sand since the rebuild. They have only been ridden on the asphalt where they are stored. The black bike has: Paul Turner mid range pipes with Fat Boy silencers V-Force Reeds TORS Removed Parking Brake Removed Trinity Stage 4, 2 into 1 Intake with Keihin Air Striker Carb Full Flight +2 Hammertone a arms with stock shocks and black covers Lonestar -2 Hammertone Swingarm RPM Dominator Axle Stock Light/Kill switch removed for Dead Man Switch and Lighted headlight switch where the key would go Trail Tech Torch lights on Handlebar mount with Endurance Computer Stock Headlight Mount Cover LED tail / brake light Bolt Kit The white bike has: Paul Turner mid range pipes with Fat Boy 2 silencers Trinity Stage 4, 2 into 1 Intake with Keihin PJ Carb Brand New Top End with Wiseco 64.75 Pistons TORS Removed Parking Brake Removed Stellar +3 Black a arms with YFZ shocks and black covers Stock Light/Kill switch removed for Dead Man Switch and Lighted headlight switch where the key would go Trail Tech Torch lights on Handlebar mount with Endurance Computer Stock Headlight Mount Cover LED tail / brake light I'm sure there's more I don't remember right now. Each bike has the Monsoon style seat in the picture below and a solid black or white seat depending on which plastics it has on. They each have a set of street, dirt and sand tires
-
That's an impressive list of mods! I would also like to see your horn and how you have it wired. I use a bicycle horn but it looks funny so I would like to copy your horn if you don't mind.
-
Great looking Banshee! Do you have a list of the parts you have added to make it custom? I see the bike has been lowered with shorter shocks up front, did you use a lowering link in the rear suspension? The added front headlights and turn signals must be needed to make it legal to ride on the street, what did you change in the electrical system to make it all work? The larger gas tank blends in very well with the rest of the bike. The street tires looks sweet! Very nice indeed.

You're english is just fine, no worries. Welcome to the HQ! There are lots of helpful people here, and a few idiots, so enjoy the good, ignore the idiots and you will do fine. Do you have any pictures of your Banshee? We'd love to see em. The easiest way to share them is through an account like PhotoBucket. Store your pictures there and use the img link to share them in your post. I have Paul Turner mids on both my Banshees and won't run anything else. You will REALLY like them. I'm not sure how well they will work, or even IF they will work with your stock silencers, but let us know how it goes. The issue may be where the pipe meets the silencers, they may not come together in the same place. Before and after pics are always good too. Good luck and welcome! P.S. Builder--please post pics of the black PTs, I was thinking of painting mine and would like to see how they look. That and if chris.tain doesn't buy them I might!
-
That's the same shock you already asked about. banghead banghead WTF? How many times to different people have to tell you not to buy JUNK and you keep asking. Are you looking for that one person to tell you what you want to hear? Why do you want to spend $100 (that ad is for ONE shock) on crap when you can find good used shocks for less? I'm unsubing from this thread as this guy is either an idiot or a troll....

Besides selling me a 2 into 1 pipe that didn't fit because it was repaired by a blind man trying to use a welder and the fact that his profile pic is a little red 'x' he is okay by me. and DAMN this is an old thread!
