  1. Cascade is the only place I have gone to purchase parts. They always go out of their way to help me out. I purchased bare silencers and stinger tubes from them for $280.00. Very affordable. They always have had everything in stock, very knowledge able. I can't say enough good things about them. I do have one question though, I heard (I hope it isn't true) that cascade doesn't port their cheetah cylinders and to take them somewhere to get ported. Is that true?
  2. I have stock sleeves with 66.5 pistons, and cascade told me i had another bore or two left. Stock pistons are 64mm, so if your piston size falls within that range i would say replating your jugs isnt necessary. If you are set on having your holes replated then i would agree with the majority and get a cub, or a serval or whatever.
  3. Do you mean completely from the tires up, or just the motor from the ground up?
  4. This thread would have about 5 posts if you filter out all the people making fun of the original post-er. I love how most of us are so loyal to our machines. To the original post-er, try to ride these other bikes in the terrain setting you will ride in most to ensure you will be happy with another bike. I personally will never own a 4 stroke, but thats my personal preference because it is what i love to ride. Who cares what other people on here say on here, do what you want.
  5. 1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? Paul Turner's mid 2) What type of airfilter do you have? Dual K&N's 3) no airbox at all 4) What is your elevation? (If you don't know, go here: http://www.topozone.com ) sea level 5) What size pilot jets are you using? Stock, (need to change, won't idle 6) What size main jets are you using? 310's 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? 65-80 8) Do you have a port job? Trintiy 9) What kind of carbs? Stock 10) What size carbs? Stock
  6. You don't have to use a synthetic oil. Mainly preference. I run blenzoil which is a castor, and I love it. I used to run super-m but switched when I rebuilt my motor.
  7. What kind of motor setup does the test bike have? What about with different setups? Is one set of pipes going to consistently be better? I agree with you on the two-one setup. To be honest, I have never heard of actual two-one setups besides dual pipes going to one Silencer (out frame drag stinger or the dmc alien) there is probably a reason why I haven't lol.
  8. Legit numbers for Paul turners and pro circuits. Comparison. I agree, it does boil down to what you like. I was trying to get this thread back to the initial subject of good low end pipes; instead of the single pipes vs. Dual pipes which it was on. I succeeded.
  9. But what about tq numbers? That's what we are wanting right? I know the pt's are a great pipe for bottom end without sacrificing too much top end. Guess what pipes I run lol. Maybe I'm a little biased.
  10. I never mentioned anything about pt's being the best pipes, or that cascade said they were the best pipes. I simply asked why hasn't anyone brought them up since they are a great bottom end pipe/ mid pipe and explained benefits. Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Even if cascade said they haven't used pro circuits, I bet they have their reasons why.
  11. Why hasn't anyone brought up Paul turners? Very good pipe all around. They don't over rev your motor like top end pipes, and they have snappy bottom end. You can lug them down at the bottom and still have good mid and top. Not two into one, but who cares when the performance is there. Not sure what the big deal is about single pipes anyways. Ask cascade what pipes they reccomend for bottom end. I'll bet their answer starts with a p, and ends with an aul turner.
  12. Check the coil. I had that same problem and it ended up being the coil.
  13. function, yes....look great, not likely unless painted or ceramic coated.
  14. It depends on how mechanically inclined you are as to whether or not you should pull the head and jugs off yourself. Make sure you get the port job that fits your riding style. After deciding that, you purchase other parts that match the porting (i.e. if you get a drag port because you like to go fast in a straight line then consider out frame or in frame drag pipes.) You are going to need to rejet after the porting and advancing the timing is another good mod. You should invest in a banshee manual if you want to do the work yourself.
