Someone I know had the same ordeal as you, he had the amputation around the knee but unfortunately after being in the clear it returned a year later and he was diagnosed terminal. He passed last month at 33 years old leaving a wife and two children 5 and 1. I'm really not trying to put a downer on you but I'd be thinking worse case scenario for your families sake, hopefully the doctors get it right first time and don't fuck you about. All the best.
