  1. I have same carbs on my set up ...look in my signature. I was pretty oily on the tips of my pipes and heavy smoke. Was using 927 oil @ 40:1. That's when I was jetted in the 150-155 range and 45-50 pilots. Wet plugs too. I switched to klotz ..jetted down ....real close now. I ended up with a 38 pilot and 145 mains. Now the oily mess has cleared up along with my plugs and heavy smoke. I'm at 2400 ft. What I'm getting at is the air stryker carbs like a little leaner jet than normal pwk's from what I've experienced and read. I think you possibly could be real rich on jetting. Although I don't consider myself a pro at all compared to some of the knowledgable senior members....just a suggestion. Hope this helps.
  2. Guess I will give him another call or pm him....I will report back with what he tells me.
  3. I'm very interested in the frame if it isn't sold and if it has a title....where are you located? If its not too far I would just pick it up.
  4. JD ....I can be your guinea pig for the test fit since I came up with the bright idea to make these for the banshee.....maybe half off LOL. Other hand you will charge me twice as much since I asked you to make these difficult to design pieces......lmao. Thanks JD.
  5. Any idea on when you might get to these JD ? I know you stay covered up....
  6. Just went out and did a chop with 145's. Wow I learned a lesson....make sure you get a good 6th gear pull! My 138 chop was only through 4th and looked slightly lean. Todays 145 chop looked even leaner ....looks like i will be up around 150-152....just like Kevin @ HJR had said I should start at. He suggested 155's when i put it together. Although my pilot jet is pretty close at a 40....may end up at a 42 though.
  7. Bike runs strong. I think I will step up a couple of jet sizes to like a 142 from my 138 in it now. I swear it seams I'm using some small jets compared to what most people end up with. Although I realize air stryker carbs usually end up using smaller jet compared to standard pwk's. But everyone else ends up with 155's or so with the pwk's ....just seems like a drastic difference to me. Scares me that I will destroy my top end. When I start using bigger jets my plug gets really dark when i put some ride time on it....but I did drop down 2 sizes on my pilot if that would affect overall plug color?
  8. I guess I can run it down the 4 lane....Damn this will be interesting. Changing plugs on the side of the road.....traffic .....oh well I have no choice. I thought it looked a size or two small. Overall the plug looks great though with some ride time....nice tan color.
  9. Help me out.....I don't want to melt it down this weekend.
  10. These are pwk 35 air strykers at 2400 ft ...I'm running 40 pilots, needle in middle clip ( cel), and 138 mains. Mods in my signature. This was a 4th gear run due to limited space. My plugs have a golden brown color after about 45 minutes of riding that i pulled out of it. Looks like I may need to step up a jet size possiblely. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
  11. I think I'm finally getting there on my jetting. I need someone to post a pic of my plug chop. I can email or text. I want to get your opinions before this weekends ride. Thanks.
  12. I bought mine from Ceat directly. Fit like original.
  13. Super fast shipping....packaged good and just as he described. Would highly recommend him and gladly buy from him again. Thanks again.
  14. If you say it has a new carb kit in it I'd still take it apart to verify. Personally I would replace the pilots with new ones to eliminate that as a possibility at the least.
  15. Might as well get a new cable if its looking rough. Relatively cheap too....I use motion pro.
  16. I'd clean the shit out of the carbs as well and throw a rebuild kit in. My little girls lt80 was doing a similar thing last week....start up idle for a few seconds and die. I stripped the carbs and boiled the hell out them for 30 minutes in water, let dry, cleaned with brake cleaner, blew out with air, installed new carbs kit....problem solved. Idles like a champ now. Although this may not fix the run away problem...its a good start. Check for an air leak too as mentioned already.
  17. I will definitely sync the carbs....get them 100%. Set the idle, go take it for a rip to get a good plug chop. Then work it from there. I let it idle for about 5 minutes on new plugs after i had warmed it up. Plugs looked evenly colored. I'm guessing the idle/ sync is my problem. Weird it didn't do it before bit I did have everything apart too.
  18. I wouldn't think it detno because it never happened before now. 4mil, aggressive dune play port by hjr, + 4 timing, 20 or 21 cc domes, 93 pump gas at 2400 feet.
  19. By the way it idles like a champ and revs clean. Just and audible louder than the right side pop/ crack to it. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
  20. Meant to say checked for leaks ....held 10 psi for 30 minutes and never dropped.
  21. Long story short put my new transmission by Camatv in my shee. Checked for leaked. I was rich when i tore it apart so I went down from 45 pilots to 40's. Went from 142 to 138 mains. Cel needle in middle clip. I did not sync the carbs yet, however they're pretty close. Didn't ride it since I'm waiting on rear brakes. At idle the left exhaust has a little more louder pop to it than the right. A louder cracking noise than the right if that makes sense. Installed new plugs and switched plug wires to opposite cylinder. Still stays on the left side. Where do I start? These are pwk 35 air strykers at 2400 ft. Mods are in my signature.
  22. Camatv cut mine....gonna test it out next weekend. Good guy and stayed in touch the entire time. Very quick turn around time!
  23. What guns? Where did that come from lol
  24. Quadpro.....sent you a pm as well. I will buy yours too if you will take my offer. Pm me back. Thanks.
