  1. I have always loved the 2into1 pipes and carbs but someone let me use a set of fattys and I liked them. (wont be going back to the single pipe) now I want to ditch the single carb!! I just picked up a set of pt mids locally, I called duncan racing they are telling me that my quad with 34mm pj (twin carbs) will be more powerful low to mid than the stockers. 180 psi compression trail port pt mids 7 deg timing I run race fuel I run all pretty open trails and mostly do coal hill climbs. duncans reasoning when asking why the 34's would make better low to mid was the stockers have to be jetted to big to make work as well. Does this sound right? Thanks Mike
  2. X2 Someone always knows it all and someone is always faster if you like your ride go have fun win or loose your riding that's winning by itself.
  3. I found one locally so I will not need this anymore.
  4. Yea you'll be fine mine have been reversed since 2005.
  5. Never under estimate anyone there is always someone with something faster!!!
  6. Just put the bike back to the way it was and race again beating him with a full drag bike wont be as much fun. I used to race a 73 vw bettle that I built ran 11.90 at 110 mph on race fuel it was a street car and boy did it piss of the v8 guys, everyone I knew wanted me to make it into a drag car it would have been 1 to 1.5 seconds faster but it was more fun doing it in a street car!!! But a full drag quad would be fun if your only a bike behide you dont need a drag quad cool keep us posted
  7. pm sent
  8. bump
  9. I run the itp mudlite 20 inch seems to work good we ride rock, dirt, and coal hills probably not the best but seems pretty well rounded tire that looks like it will hold up. which ever you get make sure it is 6 ply flats suck.
  10. I have done 3 dirtbike cranks and that was not to bad you have to press the two halves apart then press it back together and then true it up it takes a machine shop. I will not be doing my own banshee crank if it ever needs it it will get sent out to make sure it is right. not saying you can't do it I would recommend sending it to a shop.
  11. have you done a compression check with the 22cc domes ?
  12. hell yea looks cool
  13. Did they ever race what happened?
  14. Looking for a bigger tank preferably clear, natural. But white or black would be fine. I guess if the price is right any other color would do. Thanks Mike
  15. WOW is all I can say we parked in a new spot on the other side of the mountain(basicly behind the Lowes) man we were lost it took us a few hours to find the hills we were playing on last time. Had to quit early to get back (running out of gas). I had to use the gps on my phone to get back. Has anyone used a hiking gps up there and how do they work?
  16. If you can't find a oversized timesert you could take a bolt or threaded rod and drill and tap it for the stud and then drill and tap the cyl for the rod. It's a pain but it works . Good luck
  17. Yea I would like to know more about this!!!
  18. I have ridden up there a few times (pottsville , minnersville , st. clair ) if anyone wants to meet up and ride with me and my buddies that would be cool ! I ride a banshee my buddy ride 400ex and kx450 bike. would love to find new places up there. pm me and I will give you my # thanks Mike
  19. It's going on 4 months and you can't come up with a price???
  20. If you are going to buy the pistons from the guy that is boring the quad the .01 over will be fine, but if you are ordering the pistons somewhere else I would get .020 over to be safe. I bore cyl. for a shop here locally and when he gives me a piston only .01 over sometimes depending on how out of round the old cyl. is etc. There is a spot somewhere that does not clean up usually exhaust port. In a perfect world it would work and most of the time it does but returning parts and waiting for new ones suck.
  21. Take your time when you drill and ez out center the drill the best you can. This way you could use a Heli coil kit if you could find one but it would cost as much as a good use part, but would get you up and running today. Also after you drill and make sure the ez out will fit, take the ez out back out and heat out the alum slightly trying to lightly expand it so the screw comes out. Hope this helps good luck and don't heat it up to much.
  22. also if the exhaust ports were raised much more than 1 to 1.5 mm low end power will be decreased.
  23. most will tell you they suck but the 2 into 1 pipe works for me in the woods and add some compression to it that will help some.
