It's been a long time coming , I will make my next trip to Riley . I'm glad they got everything sorted out and got the access bridge built . I love Florence but shit , there is really only driftwood , there is other camps but they don't allow atv's and they have nice dune access . Dunefest this year and I'll have to do a late summer trip to coos bay as well . Thanks for the info bro

I hear they have finished it? I have never been there , I read there is hook ups , but is there tent spaces? I'm sure there must be , but not sure ...

Wrenching sucks when all you wanna do is ride , I'll come and hang out with my Bike and have fun no matter what . Best time in the world is hanging at the dunes , sitting around the fire and daring each other to do stupid shit. Just there for good times , even if it does fuckin rain Lolz !!!!!

This is funny , I was out in the garage putting parts back on the shed while I wait for my top end to come back and was scratching my head over the very same topic , I am going to for sure ditch the clutch vent and go with the block off plate . I guess the only vent tubes will be the tranny vent and the fuel overflow ?

Could be one spring is wore out versus the other , swap springs and see if it swaps sides and if so get 2 new springs

I sure want to see and ride Glamis , and LS but damn , I gotta take 2 weeks off work to make a trip like that happen and if I want as much riding time as possible I gotta do a cannonball run and get there in 30 hours so I feel like the trip was more ride and less drive . With Oregon , Utah and Idaho so close , it makes it hard to pull the trigger on a longer trip , but I'd so do it with the right amount of prep time , it just means I'd have to cut out my Oregon trips , and getting out to only ride a couple times a year sucks , I want to hit it every month .... Sadly it just doesn't work out that way

If I can get free from the clutches of the Mrs. I'll go , I'm already going to dunefest for a week , so taking off again so soon may be a grounds for sleeping outside ( Not that I mind , but I prefer to sleep on sand its softer than my front yard ) . I'd like to make it though , I'll see what I can do .

It's not only the fact she did something that I would have said no to , but she wasn't gonna tell me anyways , my kid was the one who told me . And if she fucked it up on the same trip , it's covered, I know my wife is a good driver , she's driven my truck many times and KNOWS how to drive a lifted truck , not everyone does and I have NO idea about the person she let drive my truck I don't know her driving experience or abilities and that alone would make me decide against it . It's really easy to roll a high center truck if you take. Turn to fast or too sharp . She works part time at a school so there's no way she could pay to have something repaired , shit she couldn't pay the deductible . I didn't say she couldn't drive my truck and yes I trusted that she would be the driver and look what I get . I get lied to and I'm the fucking bad guy because I have an issue with it?

Soak the hub in Penetrating oil , and use a 3/8" socket extension to drive them out

So last minute sunday my wife says " I need to borrow your truck tomorrow " , ok not a huge deal but I'm curious as to why because she has her own car that works just damn fine..... " Field trip for our daughters class , gotta carry buckets n shit to the beach for a bbq and day of fun . Ok once again NO BIG FUCKING DEAL , So then 5 minutes later I get called out to work a gas leak/transformer station explosion and I'm out till 3:30 am , Mind you that was at 1:15 PM when I got called . I get home at 3:30 AM and my truck still has donation and dump stuff in the back of it , SO I fucking un-load it all into my garage and get the truck spiffed up so she can use it NO BIG FUCKING DEAL , I take care of my shit , I'm kind of particular about it but I can be flexible . So , I went to bed at 4am , up at 6:30 to be back at work by 8:00 and My day was a draggin muther fucker but I dealt with it and that was cool . I get home , truck is in the driveway , there is more sand in the bed than whats on Banshee hill and I look in the cab and theres her crap piled on my sub box LAYING ON MY FUCKING PYLES!!!!!!!!!!!! ok I don't freak out much , I go in the house , take a long hot shower and I'm just lookin forward to going to bed . OK little bit about my truck , I've done all the work , lift , stereo , bed liner yadda yadda yadda , paid for everything IN CASH so I don't pay interest on credit cards for my Sand Toy Hauler . So the kid has baseball practice and I'm not going cause I wanna eat and get some sleep , and then my kid says the following words " Ms. Shippe ( her butch skeleton bull dyke P.E. Teacher ) drove your truck today " MY FUCKING TRUCK!!!!!!!!!! I looked at my wife who LOL yup looked BUSTED , I said oh Ms. Shippe RODE in my truck? " No She Drove " so I say " Why did you let a near complete stranger , and someone I don't fucking like anways drive MY TRUCK!!!!!" " so WTF , she asked me to borrow my truck , I DONT DRIVE HER CAR EXCEPT ON A RARE OCCASION and I sure as hell wouldn't let someone else drive her car without clearing it with her first and the answer would be FUCK NO ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! So from now on the answer is FUCK NO , If she had called me during the day and said would it be ok if she drove because she knows the route best , I would have said no , just follow her or punch the address into the GPS I JUST GOT THATS HOOKED UP AND GTG and that would work out just fine . WTF , I don't think I'm out of line here , I pay all the bills , and I maintain the house and the cars and can't even get a piece of hand these days , so I think I have the right to be bent the fuck out of shape ....... Just to clear things up before it gets muddy , I didn't cuss at all in front of my child , or even raise my voice . The wife got the point all the same ...

Before you go postal on it , spray that fucker down with either PB Blaster , or KROIL , the latter of the 2 I hear works even better than PB Blaster . get yourself a piece of all thread and some nuts and washers , and use a deep well socket , and set it up so you have a nut and a fender washer as your pulling point on one side , then use the deep well socket that is larger diameter than the shaft and fits against the frame mount , then use another nut and fender washer to tighten against the socket , that will start pulling the shaft toward you . give it a few cranks , spray it from the back side with oil and go slow , once you feel that thing jump like a virgin on her first ride , then just crank away on that nut until the shaft bottoms out in the socket , then switch to say a 3/4" pipe nipple thats longer so you can keept pulling it using the makeshift allthread puller. I was assuming you were talking about the Pivot Tube , if its the long Bolt you are talking about , if you have a air impact wrench or even a electric drill with a socket adapter , spin the bolt in place while someone pushes on the back side with a socket and a extension , if you are by yourself , alternate between spinning it , and using a drift and a hammer to hit it from the other side and keep spraying on the penetrating oil.
