  1. cool heads are a great investment they help cool the motor where it is most needed, and with cooler cylinder head area more power can be made, with a cool head I would also get a timing advance plate. it will make it more reliable, they don't blow gaskets as much as a modded head will, I like mine and it's a two peice design, any of them are great and the colored ones look awsome!
  2. call fast racing he has good price on the pod filters. just tell him the size of your carbs. phone 1 785 364 5325 the pods flow better than an air box setup
  3. what is the min clearance between the top of the piston and the dome that is safe on a 4mill crank stock cylinder motor ?
  4. they should be just fine
  5. if you have stock carbs then use the stock boots they are fine, if not get the correct boots for the carb size.
  6. try the ignition coil off yours, we had a buddy's doing the same thing everything checked out good so we starting swapping parts off mine and the coil fixed it, cheaper than guessing,
  7. put grease on the id of the seal
  8. they dont look good it looks like the one got pinched by the flat of the head and cyl check you head and cylinders with a straitedge to make sure they are flat not warped
  9. put grip glue on the bars and in the grips blow air in the grip when putting them on so it doesn't just slid the glue out, not to much air just enough to strech the grip out a little bit work good
  10. thanks I will not use them
  11. vito's performance products has a 4mil stroker crank that is trued and welded with the plate and gaskets for 500 bucks, thats what I just bought
  12. it's bored 40 over, v force reeds, 4mill crank 110 mill rods, vito's power pistons, with cool head and cut domes no spacer, 195 compresion on both cyl's, ports are cleaned up and matched, 35 mill round slide carbs not sure on jet size, k$n 8" pod filters, fmf fatty gold pipes with turbine core silencers, one peice intake with internal crossover, +4 timing, 15 42 gears 20" razor tires, I ride trails, dunes, hills Thanks for all the advice guys. BHQ is a great site with a lot of helpful guys I'm also thinking about these tires from fast for the dunes any thoughts PRO WEDGE II DRAG TIRES
  13. I am installing a one peice intake with a built in crossover and I was wondering if I should use reed spacers also? my motor is in my profile
  14. take the valve off the tank and clean the screens they are probably plugged
  15. looks lean on that side possible air leak carb boot, crank seal, and possibly to hot of spark plugs
  16. thanks I will check that also
  17. I wont have it back to a hill for a couple of weeks, I will post up how it goes
  18. I took the original valve out of my tank tonight to put in the new one and found the screens mostly plugged up, I think the new pingle will fix my problem, so if anyone has this problem check the screens first before spending the money, oh well money well spent
  19. everyone I have switched to the lighter oil they seem to rattle but the clutch works better, with the gear saver oil the clutch never seems to release properly I think your ok. I switch to vitos clutch plates they hook up better than the hinson ones did.
