    also being so cold on the lake here in Alaska i get a little moisture in the stator cover and wipe it clean after each run I'm thinking a moisture problem when i get on the gas it pulls hard up to the top but i have to let of to 3/4 throttle hit in the rev limiter .I'm going to get a stock oem stator and slap it in see if it helps any. its faster than s";it as it is tops out @ like 75mph i never tried that race gas ever ether. my temp is no hoter than 130 ,my engine wants something to heat up and become a raging screamer.

    i pulled a couple like that clean it and see if it works if its melted its junk i have seen the stator cover fill with water after years of no maintenence cold her in alaska i pop the cover all the time to wipe it dry

    i fish for cod salmon and halibut my stator had the two voltage regulators and a bad ground blowing bulbs fixed it now my engine temp is no hotter than 130 in this 40 degree weather I'm hitting the rev limiter & 3/4 throttle with keihin 35s a.s.k's it's taking a long time to get this engine to break in banshees kick ass makes my ears bleed seriously. banshee loves twee-kin

    i have been thinking of making some carbon fiber tube extentions, 3 or 4 inches long ,by 2 1/4 or 2 3/4 inch wide, with a bracket to to hold it tight to the frame

    i had a set on my 87 they were answer sa pro's with fmf mid pipes they where to quiet for me so i switched to fmf silencers twice as loud

    180 is OK any hotter is not .get a aftermarket coolant impeller or a bigger radiator for 100 degree weather if you hit 200 on the temp turn off the engine and let it cool down . my vito's rdz 421 4mm never goes more than 130 on my rad cap temp gage .but it is 40 degrees outside or colder her in alaska with a aftermarket billit impeller and stock radiator. good luck

    you guys are right about rm and rs being junk time for me to go stock .I'm sick of my rm stator i must of blown 200 $ on bulbs .

    banshee runs good tell 3/4 throttle then fades out to wot the rm stator is reading 11.1 ohms on the red to green wire i have tried like 20 different main jets still running like crap on the top end tried moving the timing from 0 to +7 still no top end maybe i need to try a stock stator which i have not used my mod are on my profile i been trying to figure this out for a year now and it wont go away buy itself please help i keep pumping 1000s of $ into this banshee

    had that happen to mine a little splash zone putty fix it a little hole but leaked a little jb weld works with no leaks on tiney cracks

    sounds like a crank bearing let go tear the engine apart i had the same problem with the banshee i bought last year the crank was bent tore up the case

    use good oil for racing 32 to 1 your engine will last longer and be easier to tune looking at the pspark plugs once in a will witth

    the timing should be @ least +4 to wake up the 4mm crank and make it start to scream mine is set @ +7 with 24cc domes with .160 over bore and don't ever drop a flywheel on the ground get a adj timing plate

    i have a new 421 stroker and i have the same problem i think its the rev limiter if i gear up the ratio i go faster wot loads up the engine a little i think it could be my t5 pipes to witch are mid/high version i have used many outboards that ran best 3/4 throttle and flat on top you don't want to rev to high and shatter a pistons and crack a head from reving over 12.000 rpm or 13.500rpm
