  1. I can't believe nobody answered you. Shameful I say. I had Bills Pipes on a basically stock Banshee and they were great pipes. My elevation is 1200ft above sea level so comparable to yours. Start with 270 jets. This should be pretty close if not right on. You may need to go up a size depending on the filter setup. These are summertime #'s. If you live in the snow start with a 300 jet. If you don't jet for winter conditions kiss your pistons goodbye.
  2. I ride in jeans, shorts, and anything else I have around. Never ride in MX boots because shifting simply sucks. I never burnt my leg. My pipes don't even come close. I think it comes down to rider size. I'm 6 feet tall, 180lbs and I sit far back on my seat. Baby wipes is the way to go
  3. I just got finished installing a set of Bill's Platinum Pipes. I didn't have time to rejet yet so I haven't tried it yet. Are these any good? The install was super easy and the fit was perfect.
  4. It particularly sucks when you are pumping a specific amount to get the premix right. Not cool
  5. I definitely noticed a significant volume change right at the pump. I pumped exactly 20 liters. Maybe the gas station is ripping me off?? I always use the same gas can
  6. I pumped 20 liters of gas into my gerry can at -10c and noticed that there is reduced volume compared to summer temps. So now I'm wondering if it would be appropriate to reduce the amount of oil in the premix? Oil doesnt lose volume like gas does. I usually mix 500ml oil into 20liters in the summer. Does gas regain some volume when atomized in the carb?
  7. A local guy is selling some Splatch pipes?? Never heard of them. He's telling me they're fantastic. Anyone know these?
  8. Just got done re jetting the bike for winter. Had a chance to throw on the winter rubber as well. There's 5 inches of fresh powder out there calling my name but it's currently 3am here. I think i'll wait till morning. DONT FORGET TO REJET FOR WINTER
  9. I'm sure he could. I'm looking to order one through my local shop along with some other stuff. They give me a decent discount. I dont want to have to either wait for UPS or get a nasty little surprise bill from them (brokerage fees to Canada). I need to know who else makes a tough swingarm skid?
  10. SOS pad works wonders on chrome and doesnt scratch at all as long as theres a bit of soap left in it.
  11. What is the toughest stock swingarm plate available. I have a really thick one from RadBanshee but it is now totally destroyed.
  12. Has anybody tried to put the new LED MR16 bulbs into their Trailtech lights? If so how did it work out?
  13. I'm about to buy a set of PT mids for my bike. My plan is to use the stock silencers with these pipes because I need to keep them as quiet as possible and as stock looking as possible. I ride almost daily and the cops are usually not too far away. What jets should I use? normally its a 270 jet but with the stock mufflers? I know I will lose a bit of power but how much? Anybody else ever do this combo? If all is painted black will it look stock enuff to the average cop who isn't a Banshee expert?
  14. There's just as many crooks in Ontario as in Quebec. Just be careful and check the #'s. I see tons of new Banshees come up for sale weekly. I found a totally stock 2001 which had done only 2 tanks in its life and bought it for $2300. Best deal I ever made. Just keep looking.
  15. Y ou probably dont need the 105 octane. 94 will do fine unless you have elevated compression. 40:1 using synthetic oil is also the norm. 1.5 litres of 10w30 regular motor oil will do the trans oil change and won't need to be changed nearly as often as type f. Clean and oil your air filter as often as an obsessive compulsive person might. Never forget to rejet for winter. Welcome bro
  16. I bought one of the shitty Chinese pocket bikes for my kids to mess around with. It cost me $200 new. It easily does 40 mph. The one in that ad is different. I can see a tuned pipe, speedo, water cooling and upgraded brakes. Still not worth the $1500 but a little kid would RIP on that thing.
  17. If you want bang for your buck do what the pros do, add some Diesel to your fuel mix. You could just give Eaton a call as they have a great belt driven supercharger available for the Banshee. Just do more research.
  18. Don't worry about the cold weather. I live in Quebec and ride daily all winter long. Never had any problems. Make sure you're jetted for winter and run full synthetic oil at 40:1 . I don't really ride when it drops past -20 because i can't feel my fingers anymore. Heated gloves are a good investment. You will also need some winter paddles if you plan on getting any traction whatsoever. Just buy the machine and don't look back. Lespac.com and Kijiji are full of Banshees. Shop around and you will make a good deal. Banshees fukin rule brother
  19. It's easily worth the stability you will gain. The axle will be fine. Everyone I know has done it.
  20. Thats too much for those bikes. You should try Montreal kijiji. There are always tons of Banshees for sale there. If you came to Mtl for a day, you could see many bikes and make up your mind with more confidence. just my $.02
  21. You have to have shit between your ears to cut original stock fenders if they're in good shape. Of course they work. WTF? It's a must for trails.
  22. You are one very lucky guy. Now go buy a lottery ticket.
