  1. no line on a carb needs to go to the airbox. sounds like pwk style carbs. the 4 tubes are just vents. they dont need vacuum on them.
  2. 165/172 gap wouldn't worry me that much, but i would be running at least 93 octane in it at that range. 160 is about as far as i would go on pump gas. some even say 150. 180-200 is racegas/alky range
  3. lol wow even all the local yamaha shops say to run honda gear oil. it's thinner than yamaha oil and works better. i guess big equipment companies are idiots for using hydrolic fluid that is about like water in the gear boxes. i mean obviously it's not thick enough to protect anything. maybe you want to argue about painting? someone said you could paint? probably farming that out and calling it your work. no way someone as ignorant as you can lay some material....

  5. the reason some of us change it every ride is because we purposly set our clutches of to slip off the line. again until you know about oils get lost. the burning that takes place when the clutches are slipped under a engine that actually makes enough power (not your junky ass 6 second bike) it reduces the life of the oil and contaminates it. just like engine oil only faster. in a bike that doesnt purposly slip, or burn the oil i have ran the same atf the entire season.
  6. i have rebuilt more 350, 350c, 700r4, c4, aod, aode, c4,,c6 trans than you could ever dream of. auto transmissions have sprag gears (yes metal on metal gears) even even tremec 5/6 speeds in 03 up fords use atf along with several other manual transmissions. stop posting your usless ignorant fucking shit on this board and go play on facebook. you haven't the slightest clue what is fine to use in a transmission. like i said when you learn how to uniformly penetrate metal with a welder then we can move on to viscosity, pressure rating and lubricity of oils.

    red x has had some previous negative feedback, but have improved lately. you do realize all red x does is chamber them and slap a brake on right? barrels are just like uppers/lowers etc 2-3 companies build the blanks and slap their name on them after chambering them. this barrel groups great, so maybe i just got lucky. shilen was my first choice(out of stock), whiteoak second (only because of price) and the redx i found in stock.

(Taiwan) every cast crank is made there even hotrods. only american made crank is billet. the rods and bearing choice make or break a crank. builders buy (wang) cranks un assembled and use what rod and bearings they have found to be the best and a few have damn good luck with their choice of parts.

  14. me and him got into it on here and he told me to call him and he would prove his eliminator cylinders (renamed athenna's) would eat a cub up. i'm thinking damn rob has won a few races so maybe the sun shined on a dogs ass and he really has something. figured i would get it just damn near free since i run off at the mouth both good/bad feedback. no..... he wanted 100 more than it would cost to build a cub and wouldnt give numbers...
  15. when will ppl learn? rob did sell a buddy of mine a 421 kit in early 05 that the hotrods crank finally failed last fall, but that was back when he wasn't just about the dollar and carried quality parts. now he isnt allowed to sell cp products and obviously hotrods lol

  17. you gotta make a custom tube for the rad hose. i used a extra case tube i had laying around. also only use one mount on the coil and turn it sideways.

  21. plus you can run 2 less nuts that way. less expense and weight! lol was also going to cut the bolts down as well, but never got around to it.
  22. notice i turned the bolts around? more surface area=less wear i also polished the bolt head smooth so the markings didn't dig into the expensive support cover. just throwing that out there....
