check the pilots and go through all of the tuning you can do on the carb. all you can really do is trial and error. just keep fiddling

would it be worth porting the stock reed cage and putting in a set of boyesn reeds?or would i get more out of a boysen rad valve? also what do you get out of it? power or throttle response? and now finally, if i should port it how should i go about it besides smooth it out and make it larger?

i love my t6s. they run great and have great all around and usable power. i can hang with guys who dont have too insane of a bike. the bottom end power lets you drop the rpms WAY down. and it seems to just keep pulling all the way through from bottom to top. my bike is all stock except for the pipes. it is an awesome bike. easy to ride and easy to jet with few motor issues.

intake boots i think would cause you too lean out and would make sense. check the bottle it self. the cable will rub on the bottle and since the bottle is cheap aluminum, the cables will rub a whole in it.

i have heard that they are better but i am not sure in what way? i think that they make it easier to get to the filter when needed. i have also heard on hear that the stock adapter has an o ring? and if it gets pinched it will let in a ton of dirt. i havent had this problem but the convenience would be worth it

a filter is a filter. pods make getting too the carbs way easier but as long as it keeps the dirt out. no real power gain with other setups.

well what size of rims are there? i kinda want the t-9 so that i can have matching rims but do the rims come in the same sizes like a 20x11x? or in more general sizes like a 20 or so?

ok so i took my bike out to go ride for a day. it rode great from the last trip so i did just a quick check over( filters tire pressure chain lube stuff like that) and it ran great .all day and well while i was riding (six hours or so) the nuts on the left rear wheel came loose and egged out the hole which became more like slots. i didnt even notice the wheel was loose. it didnt wobble or anything so i didnt know the rim was messed up untill we unloaded the bikes off the trailer and the whole wheel popped off!!! i have a set of paddle tires with rims so i can swap rims for ahwile but i need to know what size of rim i need. i know its a t-9 rim but not sure of the size and the tire i have now is a 20x 11,? i think. i know the first number is a twenty. so any help would be great.

they will still work fine and you will probably notice a difference and they will be better than stock
-
if you think about it, the Pts have baisicaly the same design. and they seem to run pretty strong
-
toomey makes a great needle. slightly noticeable gain. a little more crisp response. more noticeable on mostly stock engines

how can i clean the top of the piston?

why bother? it dosent make any difference plus ithere is always the chance of getting that crap in the motor itself -
how many people have used octane booster?
banshee67 replied to ELKARACING_SHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i kinda figured that running that much concentrated booster wouldnt be good. but i was meaning if you were going to use it instead of race fuel that that would be the only sensible option with octane booster. but ya you are right. the bike would just run extremely hot -
higher compression should give you some power throughout the entire powerband but invest in a timing plate so you can adjust where you want the power

how many people have used octane booster?
banshee67 replied to ELKARACING_SHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
see now in my opinion if regular octane boosters only boost 1 point per bottle per 15 gallons, the banshee tank holds about 4 gallons so that would boost the octane about three points. if you added about two or three bottle of octane in a premium unleaded or even plain unleaded it would boost the octane by at least one. i still think it would cost about the same if not more than running premium or higher. but i think it would still be cheaper than race gas if you had to run that -
thanks for the help

so is the handling in general improved at all?
-
will stock shock work on longer a arms or are they too short? also, would there be any improvements in handling?
-
how much do you charge to rebuild the stock shocks? front and rear. sepreate and as a set?

some guys on here were talking about the ultimate sleeper. saying that there is a ton of restrictive crap inside the pipe body. and they claimed after removing the innards, they put it up against an fmf pipe and the stocker had only 3 less horse than the fmf. then milling and reshaping the head along with a port job. this is just what i have heard on a older thread. i really dont know what the pipe can actially do but i would love to know so keep us updated if you start tearing into your project
-
for an ALL AROUND pipe i f your keeping it stock go with the t6. if not then the bad ass fmf some t5s or even pro circuits, these are just my opinion for an all around pipe with decent mid range hit and balls to the walls top end
-
plus with a lowering kit you can take it off and run the bike anywhere else.

cool head and some prolites. and a starting tip. on the starting line start in second. the other bikes will more than likely be four pokes and wont rev out there bike and keep it about midd throttle at the line they also start in first gear. to get a decent start and possibly hole shot, start in second gear and about 5 seconds before the flag drops let her scram and rev as far as it goes then dump the clutch. ( sit up or lean forward, maybe both, just to keep the front end down). and also. when going around the corners, let the tires push you around and dont be the dumbass with his ass completely hanging off the seat. just some personal tips
