what are your spark plugs gapped at ????. this can cause problems also... i learn the hard way./..... also... is the bike hitting a wall as in cuts out or its not pulling in high rpm... is this is the case maybe all u need todo is shift into the next gear... the motor isnt gonna pull for ever in any given gear....well as of what i think i know.. a banshee is not for u to strecth all the gears out asd in a mile run u know.. i 6 seconds ur prolly already in 4- 5 gear.. u know

truthly.. throw the reed spacers back on... ur running way to much timing for a top end motor.. positive timing is good pulling out of turns.. the faster ur going the more ui want the timing to drop. towards the negative. i know u cant do this with the plate but i tyhink u can do it with the dynatek cdi.....

HAS ANYONE TRIED PUTTING THE 400EX THUMB THROTTLE ON THEIR BANSHEES?? ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY IT FEELS WAY BETTER THE FACTORY. IM SICK OF A SORE THUMB AFTER 10 MINUTES OF TRAILS. IT SEEMS THAT I STOP TO TAKE MORE OF A BREAK THEN I RIDE .. IT SUCKS.....HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS MOD.? wel it depends what u want to ride. if ur gonna be duning and trasils i wouldnt recomend it.. the cylinderwalls are way to thin and u will heat up alot... if u want to drag race ill give it a shot.. ur only going for a 5-10 seconds blast and ur cooling down after that....u will make crazy power.. but not reliably for a trail motor......just ditch or sell the jugs and go big bore. imlooking into doing it my self.. 68mm with a+4 stroke.. im 250+lbs i need the power to get me going -
well lets think of things here.. i will not waste money on a fuel stabalizer unless i have a 55 galon jug of race gas premixed........ why put stabalizer in a 2 1/2 gallon tank??. run the thing till its out of gas and store it....... dont u think....infact u dont even have to run it dry// take the fuel linbe pout and let it all drain out. and put fresh new gas. btw i had the same problem. i hit it with ether and itll start right up and die like it has no gas.. check your pilots... and check your idle mix screws.. anywhere from 1 1/2 o 2 turns out.. find that sweet spot..

did u clean ur carbs before u tuned them???the main jest size will not affect it at idle.... do u have that tors crap still? if so. disconect it.. check your carb sync...also what are u idle mix screws set at on both carbs.. should be even across

nah there not stockers.. they are the fmf Aluyminum stinmgers with the bootleg looking tip.. not like the power core.. it has the bullshit tip with the 2 screws 1 on top and 1 on bottom....well then again im looking in the stinger thats blown out.. im pretty sure if that plate flies off all the packing is going to come out with it...... correct? -

funny my resonators hVE NOTHING INSIDE OF IT.. ITS JUST a oval tube with a whole at the tip.. there is nothing inside of it...... could this hurt my performance also?????? i blow off one of the tips on the resonators so i have a big oval hole in one resonator.. but there doesnt appear to be anything inside of it... my whoile rear wswing arm is covered in oil.. i think its a good thing at the same time.. keeps everything luibricated..lololololololol.. even my brake rotor -
whats up bhq.. i got a 03 banshee se.. its got fmf fattys stock carbs w/ tors ,280main.65mm wiseco stock port.. well me being the fool thatr i thought i wasnt but i am.. i rebuilt my top end. and i knew it was gonna sit for about 2- 3 weeks with head and cylinders off.. so i threw in oil in the crankcase to prevent it from rusting the bearings and what not.. the thing is... i never took the oil out... i assembled everything in the freezing cold out of my excitement. ..so anyways. .. at first it didnt want to start for anything .i took the head off again and the i moved the cylinders upward about 3 inches... i flip the quad upside down to let the oil out. alot of oil came out but i know theres alot more still in there... i took the carbs out and cleaned them.. installed a 280 jet from a previous 200 stock jet.. when i bought the shee it had the pipes but it was never jetted.. big bummer ..so anyhow. i re did the carbs i never check the float or anything being that this fukin thing ran like a beast last month. so i figured let me ditch the castor 927 and i switch back to the belray s2. i mix up two gallons at 32.1... and still she wouldnt start. i set my mix screws aty 1.5- 1.75 on both sides .i held the choke out on the first step two kicks it started right up no problem .. but it is smoking alot out of both pipes it smokes as if u had a head gasket problem in a car.... my anti freeze is full it aint leaking or seaping anywhere... the smoking is from all the oil i left in the crankcase....anyway will this oil everntually just burn away... should i take the pipes off and let it run being that the exhaust gets sucked back into the motor and pushes the oil out but pulls it back in?? or should i just clean the pipes every now and then to eliminate the oil?? i was just out side hitting up the snow and this thing turned off about 20 times i try to launch in first and it wants to go but it bogs badly... i did notice however when i change the plugs today it ran a whole lot better with more power but still smoking alot.. u think once the oil builds up and gets all over the plugs im foulking them>??. i have the fealing im gonna have tpo ride around with 10 sets of plugs in my book bag untill all this oil dissapears... any input... my carbs are leaking a lil bit out of the float bowls.. both side........i did turn the screwes on the tors ill admit it.. i order the eliminator kit itll be in a few days.. i got a v force 3 reeds plus the billet reed spacers. and im awaiting my timing plate also. i dont want to install anything but the tors eliminator untill the engine stops burning all this oil.... what do u guys think????

did u check the pilot jets to see if they are clean .. take em out blow em out run a wire threw the jet . which ever u prefer.. and being that the weather drop 30 degress. it calls fopr more jet.. colder air is heavier denser air... more fuel... and get rid of that tors shit. im having the same problem, right now..... maybe ur mix has been sitting for too long?? -
well what i thought would work didnt.. as the piston travels upward the skirt of the piston blocks the exhaust port so i cant stick anything in there.. but i though about doing it through the intake windows on the piston.. i dint think fast enough and i ended taking the top end apart. and just sliding the cylinders up about 15mm. and cleared 1 out. so far. i was so saucy yesterday at work that i couldnt continue to think str8.. drank a whole liter of hennessy i was shit faced........but still this shouldnt have anything to do with me not having spark.. before i dissasembled the motor it had very lil power i couldnt pull off in first gear without it falling on its facebut still started up with 2-4 cranks.. so i figured i hasd a compression problem. i couldnt go pass 3rd gear unless i rock my weight back and fourth on the bike...meanwhile all i had was a stock carb jet also/// 200 mains with pipes and lid taken off. i bought the bi8ke like this.. and it ran like a beast.....lean condition killed my rings and shopt me compression...

well its noit being forced out. its being vacumed.'pulled out'.they sell blow guns with a port near the air inlet fitting.. so when u blow ur gun it pulls air thrrou8gh this tube. hence vacum..if im not mistaken as the piston travels up the crank case is exposed through the exhaust? correct.. so if i take off the pipes. and stick a hose in through the exhaust port untill it touches rock bottom and then use the blow/vacuum gun to evacuate the crankcase.. i think it makes perfect sense. im gonna crank the motor over right now and see if im correct.. can anyone else chime into my retarded newbie fuk up

shit man.. im a douche bag..lol.. i open uop my motor and left it opern for abouit a month.. so i through some engine oil down the crank case so the bearings wouldnt catch and surface rust.. and didnt drain it.. if i drain from the bottom screw would that oil coime out??? or should i take the pipes off and stick a flex vaccum 3/8 hose with a air blower and vacvuum it out threw the exhaust ports im stumped...woulkd this oilk have anytyhing to do with my shit not turning on. i did a complete wiseco prolite rebuild on the top.. compression is significantly different more force to kick now so i know the compression is good.. but shit man.. i put the oikl in there so the bearings wont catch rust.. i just fucked myself.. even though it only take 40minutes to break both sides down and put back together....give me some info. polz

btw the cops are great they dont bother us for sure.. by any chance have u guys ever heard of tap'ing a carrier with a grease zerk fitting qand pumping up the carrier with grease???my uncle told me its a good idea if u ride in spots like i do with a lot of mud holes and water..he says it aids to keep the water off the bearings and every time to go out give it a good pump of grease to push against the seals on your bearing in the cariier??sound logical? -

i need a good mid torque range for the fast trails but i need the top end to blow the raptor700r. not to mention im about 250lbs.i guess i didnt keep up cuz of the compression though. as for the suspension, i would love to runb a complete elka set up set for the trails... alot of people tell me to save the money and get 450 shocks....and a +2+1.. well i order a fmf jet kit.. r they any good??it all came brand new from eday.. jets and needles in seal bags.270 280 and 340.. woulda 33 pwk carb work better than a 35+pwk???rememeber my weight250...its alot of trial and error i really dont have money to waste on so i wanna do it right the first time. as of budget i should have about 2200-2500 to play with over the winter. everyoine tells me suspension is key........vital.....they say build my motor around my suspension set up.. know what i mean?>?? -

THERES A BIG LAKE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOUNTAIN... ITS BEAUTIFUL... ANYWAYS. IVE BEEN RIDING SINCE THE SUMMER. I WISH I WOULD OF GOTTEN MY BANSHEE YEARS AGO.. I RODE A J ARM WHEN I WAS A KID ABOUT 12 YEARS OLD..... AND NOW I COME TO LOVE MY BIKE..... WELL MY BIKE RECENTLY STARTED RUNNING LIKE SHIT AFTER I SWITCH FROM THE BEL RAY S2 TO THWE 927 CASTOR OIL... LOL....SO I DID A COMPRESSION CHECK WITH BOTH PLUGS OUT AND WIDE OPEN THROTTLE..... WITH 3 PUMPS I GET ABOUT 55 PSI IF I KEEP ON PUMPING ILL REACH 65- 70 PSI.. EVEN IN BOTH CYLINDERS. I KNOW THE CYLINDERS DONT SHARE ANYTHING WHATSSOEVER EXCEPT NFOR COOLING FROM THE 1 HEAD.... I HEAR THAT THE SPECS CALL FOR MIN 110PSI.. BUT THE CRAZY SHIT IS MY BIUKE STARTS UP 2 KICKS ALL THE TIME NO PROBLEM... WHEN IT RUNS I HEAR LIKE POPPIN OUT OF MY FILTERWHEN THE LID IS OFF.. AS IS I HAD A BAD VALVE SEAT OR BENT VALVE OR STICKY VALVE.. BUT I KNOW 2STROKES DONT HAVE VALVES... DO U THINK I MAY HAVE A REED PROBLEM???? HOWEVER I TOOK THE CAGES OUT AND EXPECTED MY REEDS. AND THE REEDS SEEM TO SIT AGAIUNST THE RUBBER NO PROBLEM ON BOTH SIDE ALL REEDS SEEM TO TOUCH THE RUBBER.. SO I PULL THE CYLINDERS OFF. I HAVE SCRATCHES IN BETWEEN THE 2 INTAKE PORTS ON BOTH PISTONS. THE CYCLINDERS VERY LIGHTLY... THIS BIKE RAN LIKE A BEAST BEFORE..HOWEVER I ORDER A WISECO PROLITE KIT. 65MM...CLEARANCE IT TO .003 JUST WAITING ON 1 SET OF RINGS IN WHICH THE GUY FUCKED UP WHEN HE SENT IT...... I TOOK 1 CARB APART AND IT DIDJNT SEEM DIRSTYU LITTLE BIT OF DIRT NOTHING CRACKY THE IDLE CIRCUYIT WASNT PLUGGED OR ANYTHING BUT WHEN I PULL THE BOWLS OUT I SEE THE MAIN JET AND IT WAS 200 I BELIEVE.. IF IKM NOT MISTAKEN IT IS A STOCK JET. SOP I OPEN THE OTHER AND THE SAME THING 200..... SO IM SAYING TO MYSELF NO WONDER THIS BITCH RAN.. IT RAN LEAN WITH THOSE STOCK JETS THAT IT MADE THE MOTOR RACE.. U THINK BY THIS LEAN CONDITION I SCREWED THE RINGS UP???? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT...
