  1. aggressive dune port, Plus 4 timing, t5 pipes, k&n pods, and I'm at sea level. I just had it dyno tuned and it was running great all I did was change the reeds.....
  2. I did the plug chop before and after I changed the reeds. But I notice a bog now that I did not have before it seems to not want to rev as quick so I guess something is rich it sounds fine as long as you just rev it but when you put it under a load you can tell. I checked the pilot it doesn't seem lean I have the needle on the next to leanest clip and I notice the main is a good bit richer so I guess thats what it is...
  3. Thanks for the reply I did the plug chop just as you and everyone has described. The one on the right is after I installed the vf3 reeds and it seems to be alot richer on the main jet but somehow I lost color on the tip of the plug. That is were I get confused bc if it is richer shouldn't the top be colored more than the first one..
  4. Anything is better than nothing. I'm just confused as to why the first one has the brown at the top and the second one does not.. Am I lean in the needle? Should it even be brown on the top from one wot pass. I am pretty sure the second one is pretty rich on the main. Any advice would be great thanks....
  5. I am not sure I think it depends on which side you want to put the spacers maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in...
  6. Lol It only takes a second to do Not really anything to it.. They make a pretty good difference tho at least on my bike its dune ported and I had stock reeds.
  7. Little confused here I did a plug chop with stock reeds and then switched to vf3 reeds. The vf3 made my main jet richer but it seemed to lean my middle if I'm reading the plug right that is the top part of the porclin on the plug. As you can see The one with the stock reeds is alittle black on top of the plug and lighter at the bottom for the main jet.. The vf3 is darker and thicker at the bottom for the main jet and does not leave much on the top of the porclin is it just alot richer and washing it out or is it lean on the bottom and rich up top. It does have a little bog bc it made it a good bit richer. My main right now it 340 clip postion is one postion leaner. Any help would be great as I did not imagine it would change my jetting this much...
  8. There are two on each side and I just used a razor blade to cut them flush it was really easy.. I just installed the vf3 today and they do make a difference. I did a plug chop before and after and it made my setup a good bit richer I have a 340 main jet now and I need a 330 after installing the reeds so they do flow better for sure. It is pretty rich right now but still accelerates faster than it did before by a good bit. I'm going to race my friends 450r again soon and see how much quicker it is. With the stock reeds I was not at the top end of 6th gear at my drive way I ran a good distance same distance each time after the vf3 I was at the top end of 6th a pretty good distance from my drive way to they made the bike quicker for sure and I don't even have the jet dialed in right yet....
  9. Yes you can I believe a 421 cub bolt on is 80 without porting. But I'm not sure how you would handle 100 hp on a real trail the power band is going to be really strong. If I were you I would have a trail bike and a drag bike if you really like HP.
  10. Yes compression is the reason you do not want the charge to detonate to early so you use higher octane gas because it burns slower.. I believe 150 is pretty much the limit on pump gas but I could be wrong. Mine has 135 and I run 21cc domes. Hope this helps..
  11. Man your bike looks fine I really don't see what the problem is.... I think 3,500 is a good starting price for the bike and I really don't understand what the fight is about. I am pretty sure If you own it you can ask however much you want for it the last time I checked. I just bought a banshee and rebuilt it and I'm never selling it bc some idiot would probably say its worth about 2,000 after I just dropped 5k in it lol.. There are just so many people on this site that drop 20k in a bike and sell it for 4k that it makes it hard to get any of your money back. When I bought mine I had never been on this site so I did it the hard way. However when I buy another will be from here.. Why waste time and money when someone else will waste it for you and then you can buy it dirt cheap lol.... Well thats my rant I really wish people on this forum would grow up and stop acting like little kids. I'm sure the people talking the most shit want top dollars for there stuff when they sell it as anyone does...
  12. Yea man boost bottles are the shit.......... If you want to lose about 2hp and let it crack your intake boots and rebuild your engine...
  13. Yea I'm going to do a plug chop before and after just to be safe. Did you see any real difference in seat of the pants power.
  14. I got a brand new set of v force 3 reeds for Christmas. I'm going to take the stock reeds off this week and I'm going to race my friend who i am dead even with right now and see what gains these really give... I might even do a video of before and after. Let me know if anyone is interested in knowing and we will race from a roll with stock reeds and video it. Then I will change and check jetting and race again with the vf3 and video it so you can see the difference if any.....
