  1. t0r Icon : (Today, 09:36 PM) this is what white people do to black people in the states, they hold em down...

  2. Ouch, yeah... Time for a tear down, I think...
  3. By chance, was this on halloween weekend? and it locked up at the bottom of Olds?
  4. What were you running your premix at? If you put the bike in 3rd gear, and try to roll it, does the motor turn over? or it's locked up that way too?
  5. Yeah, I would suggest pulling the head off and see what the inside of the cylinders look like. Might be time for a complete rebuild. It could be the bottom end also...
  6. Shit, 5-8% isn't too bad...
  7. "Tounge punch her fart box" was from Tosh.0...
  8. Do you have the drums already? or do you need those too?
  9. I need to step in and clear up some mis-information here. 1) The OP was inquiring about running a stock shock with Elka's linkage. 2) The Elka link actually LOWERS the bike when paired with a stock length shock, and does not increase UP travel, but merely DOWN travel. If your bike is sitting 2 inches higher, I would recommend removing the shock, and measuring your eye to eye length, and ensure that it is 367mm. 3) If you were to purchase the two together, I would sell you a 367mm ETE length, VS the stock ~340mm. THAT is where your extra travel comes from. 4) I have been building suspension for MANY years, and I am failing to comprehend how shock linkage would encourage tire grip while cornering with a swingarm style suspension, as there is 0 articulation present. Please elaborate. Perhaps I am misunderstanding. Also, From jbooker82 Stock wheel travel is 9.7 inches. The Elka link WITH the Elka shock designed for this link, only increases wheel travel to 11.25 inches, a mere difference of 1.55 inches. Keep in mind that the stated increased wheel travel is WITH the Elka Dual Linkage, and WITH the Elka Long Travel shock designed for this linkage. The Dual Linkage installed in conjunction with a stock shock WILL NOT increase travel. It is physically impossible. Changing the point at which a shock mounts will not make it compress further, or extend any more than it already can on the stock linkage.
  10. Well, Elka and Axis shocks are 99.9% identical, internally. One is not better than the other, in any way, shape or form. I suppose Elka would be "better" due to the fact that they can keep up with orders. One of the downfalls of Axis is that they are disgustingly under-staffed. It does not have anything to do with their quality control, or anything of that sort. Every Elka shock is made as orders come in. If you haven't had the opportunity to visit the Elka factory in Quebec, I highly recommend it. Every shock they build is custom built. EVERY shock is dyno'd before it leaves their hands. I just wanted to get the facts out there. I'm with you on the fact that I prefer Axis over Elka, simply because when I'm placing a $2500 stock order, Axis will take the time to confirm my order. Elka just "hopes" they get it right. In conclusion, both shocks are at the top of their game, neither one is better than the other. I have personally dyno'd both shocks one right after the other, and one doesn't out perform the other a noticeable amount. Numbers were almost identical. I use a Roehrig 3VS for all of my dynoing.
  11. Yeah, zilla gets the credit on this one. After my post someone mentioned that it's not the same person, reference two different locations.
  12. Is this possibly the same seller? http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/noblesonestopatvshop/
  13. Boy, if you had a nickel for every time you heard a woman say that to you, you'd be rich!
  14. Bump for a good guy. No bs here.
  15. You mean you don't give everyone a 28.5% discount right off the bat? How inconsiderate! lol...
  16. If you have enough room to double nut each stud, remove them, and see if maybe it's just jammed up on a stud that somehow got tweaked.
  17. I know I'll be somewhere in the ISD area. We might spend a few days in Gordon's right after Thanksgiving, then shoot up to Glamis for a week or so, so we can avoid the BS that Glamis provides on Thanksgiving Weekend... lol. I'll be sure to hit you up when we know for sure when we'll be there.
  18. Glamis season? LOL, WUT? It's DESERT season. Last time I checked Ocotillo Wells is in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Ocotillo is pretty sweet for dirt bikes. I'm not a big fan of riding quads out there, there's just not too much to do on a quad. I have lots of friends that go there on a regular basis and love it. It's just not MY cup of tea. Maybe when the single seater is done I'll go hammer her out there for a few days. I'll hit you up for sure!
  19. Guys, you know you're posting in a public forum, right? I would suggest editing your post and getting rid of ALL of your personal information...
  20. Don't buy them yet. I'm assuming you're talking about the blue, gold, or red ones that have recently flooded ebay? Another member on here has volunteered to be the guinea pig and see how they work. Just a FYI they are only 13.0" long. Stock is 14.5, so you will lose about 2-3 inches of ride height and travel. Stay tuned...
