On my McCoy cub motor, I was told to try keeping the temp around 10 to 15 degrees above the ambient air temp. That's after a 300 foot run. That motor is designed for a lot of alcohol to ran through it. Different builders will have different theory.

I wouldn't run it that way. Although its on the slack side of the sprocket, that's to much of an angle. Its not a tentioner, its a guide. Call TM and ask them.

The crank is a 10 mil with 120 rods. The motor was built by K&T. I'll go by the shop tomarrow and take some pictures of it. I had a weld brake out on the crank and knocked a small hole in both case halves. Also pitted the piston and dome on that side. They run real strong when set up correctly and are torque monsters.

Cam, I have 2 complete t rex topends whenever your ready. One 4mil 72 bore and a 10mil 75.5 bore. Setup is key as with any motor. Once they're on, they can be bad ass. Picklez, if you need anything pm me with your number.

I need a cheetah head for a 72mm bore. I can get domes if necessary. I'm also looking for a straight cut gear for the crank. It needs to be 21 tooth. Mine has a chipped tooth. Cash or trades.

I weigh 220 and set mine at 1000psi for the track and 700psi when I go to the dunes. Not saying thats right for everyone but it seems to work for me. Matt would know as well as anyone.

Turning 4.45s with stock cylinders on race gas is a pretty good run. As far as the 38 lectrons, thats a lot of carb for that motor. Not saying it can't be done, but you may have trouble getting it tuned in correctly. I'm running 39s on a 68mm bore 10mil stroke on alcohol. Gearing depends on an few things. Your launch rpm, track conditions, weight and engine setup. Go up a couple on the back and see how it reacts. If thats not it, go back to the 41 and drop down one in front. All of this is speculation and its hard to tell without hearing the motor and watching the performance.
