  1. How is he supposed to race without a tank and back wheels?
  2. +1. I have DMC 916's and open pods and my plug chop looked good at 320 mains, 800 to 1000 elevation.
  3. As you kick ,the guage should go up until it reaches top compression and then hold that pressure until you release it.
  4. +1 a 250 2 stroke will run with a 450 4 stroke and smoke a 250 4 stroke.
  5. There are several different shop manuals out there for the banshee, Clymers is probably the best. It will be money well spent and show you how to do everything you will need.
  6. +1 Alot of factors to take into consideration. How hard do you ride, what filter do you run, what oil, dune, play or drag, ect...I put together a blaster for my wife three years ago and part of my spring routine is to check compression. Three years and no change.

  12. Just follow the repair manual and you will be golden.
  13. +1. If your replacing them just hammer them out. take the castle nut off then put the castle nut back on but only about two full turns and have it with a hammer. If that doesn't work get a BFH.
  14. Email sent.
  15. Welcome and great to hear you are doing business with some of the fine folks here, but you will need pics to draw much interest. Just upload your pics on www.photobucket.com and then copy the image code and paste it into your post.
  16. Just buy the timing plate. Minimal cost and no guess work.
  17. I gotta go with Loco on this one. I was thinking along the same line as you are and picked up a badly beaten 87' figuring I would just take the winter to rebuild it on the cheap. I now have about $2500.00 rapped up in the build, and that doesn't account for my time. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the tear down and rebuild process but I could have purchased a 2000 or 2001 with the same bolt on mods for around $2000.00. Just hated to see the old 87' rooten away.
  18. I have used a riveted master in all my street bike chains and never had one fail. The press does all the work and with the press I use http://motionpro.com/motorcycle/partno/08-0467/ it sets the gap to make sure not to crush the o rings. The tool you are useing is a little smaller but I would assume will do the same job.
  19. Great guys to deal with. Great communication and good deals. Products ship as promised. I appeciate all your help guys.
  20. Time for a new sprocket and chain.
  21. Why start shit before you see if they make it good?
  22. I found everything I was looking for. Thanks for everyone's help.
  23. I just got a YZ125 frame, pegs, swingarm and rims powdered for $150.00 in Rockford IL. Venom Powder is the company.
  24. Will they fit an 87'? If so I'll take them.
