  1. I dont know why more people dont run LRD's. It seems everyone is stuck on t-5's and t-6's.
  2. I couldnt agree with you more!! CamAtv and I tried numerous sets of pipes on my 4mill this past weekend and the LRD's were the top performer with the t-5's coming in a close second. I could feel in the power where the power topped out and the LRD's seemed to climb a little higher in the rpm. I was really impressed with em. The only reason I didnt swap Cam is because his LRD's were built for a lonestar frame and they fit super tight and burned my airbox a little bit. I dont have any cash right now. But I do have a brand new 4 mill cub cylinder!! Its gonna take a lot more than a set of LRD's to get the cub cylinder though. As a matter of fact, I just got the cub in the mail today. Im running a stock cylinder 4mill right now and bought the cub before I figured out which direction I wanted to go with the engine.
  3. Cam, will these pipes feel a lot like the shearers we tried out on saturday or the CPI's I had for a while? You know how much I didnt like those lol!
  4. Come on fellas.....someone has a set of LRDs sitting around im sure....
  5. Come on fellas.....someone has to have a set of LRDs out there sitting in the barn and need a lil polishing they'll trade for a damn good set of t-5's

    LRD's

I am wanting a nice set of LRD pipes and stingers. I have a super nice set of t-5's and stingers I want to trade for a set of LRD's. PM me for pics.
  7. I have a mint set of t-5's and stingers. The pipes have zero dents or dings in them. CamAtv and I tried 4-5 sets of pipes yesterday on my 4mill stock cylinder. I tried Shearers and didnt like em, CPI's were a lil better, another set I cant remember which ones they were and last we tried a set of LRD's. The LRD's seemed to pull a little harder on the top end and and still had low and mid range. I tried to post pics, but said the damn photo was too big. I can email pics if anyone has a nice set of LRD's. I dont want junk pipes with flaking chrome, rust and dents and dings in em. My T-5's are in excellent shape and I expect the same for trade or damn close to it.
  8. Ive been running a set for about 4 months and have had zero issue with them. Im running stock shocks with him and of course its soft in the front suspension but Im also not launching it off of huge jumps. I use WD-40 everytime I go out on the heims. Also, when you install them, MAKE SURE you put RED LOCKTITE on the the top and bottom balljoints so those bolts dont back themselves out and lose a wheel. I check mine everytime out as well to make sure they arent lose. All in all, they are good arms. I was on a budget and they have met all my needs.
  9. The guy is pissed off. He got a shit deal on some shit pipes that he prolly spent his hard earned money on. I know I would be super chapped if I spent all that money on a set of pipes that after one ride looked as god aweful as the pics showed. Thats ridiculous and cheap quality. I cant stand DMC pipes to begin with and this just proved me right that they are junk. Yeah Ive been F'd on deals in the past as well and by no means was I happy about it. I prolly wouldve first off gotten to the bottom of this whole deal first with DMC and then started a thread bashing them. From the sounds of it, their quality is terrible and so is there customer service. I feel for the guy spending that kinda money on a set of pipes and have that happen. Im sure he doesnt have the money to go out and buy another set of pipes while this whole deal with DMC gets lined out so therefore his bike is sitting there in the garage with no pipes and not rideable. Hope it turns out for the best for ya. I know where about 4-5 sets of pipes are at right now in good shape, so if you absolutley need pipes, PM me and I can get you hooked up with a set for pretty cheap money.
  10. I would've thrown a fit and ripped someones ass as well. Thats ridiculous especially after you spend a pretty penny to get a set of pipes and now ya get a pile of shit in a box on ur doorstep. Whats even more irritating is how terrible their customer service is. Honestly I would never have wasted my money on those pipes. I've ran toomey's from day 1 and never had an issue. Go with some toomey's if you ever get ur money back or can get rid of those junk pipes ya bought.
  11. A-MEN!!! That was my goal in building my 4 mill. I bought a 4 mill longrod crank with a TZ bearing installed and 65.5mm pistons and my tab was around $750. Jeff was the cheapest I found anywhere. He was superfast on shipping and didnt try and talk me out of what I wanted. I called around to numerous places (nobody on this site) and they all wanted to start trying to talk me out of what I wanted. I picked up a coolhead from my buddy when I traded him a set of plastics. I bought a set of 21cc and a set of 19cc 4 mill cut domes for $50 on ebay. I already had the v-3 reeds, 30mm carbs, t-5's, adjustable timing plate, and my cylinders were ported by JSR performance a while back and CamAtv is touching up the porting to get the most HP outta my cylinders. Plan on spending around $1500 if you're going the 4mill stock cylinder route. $1500 is buying some stuffed used and not buying everything brand new. Oh I also had my tranny cut too (cut off every other dog so it shifts easier) and I am searching for a billet basket and Im gonna run the R-1 plates in it. I have a cub cylinder on its way just in case I do not like the 4 mill build, but you cant skimp on building the bottom end!!! If you do, you will pay for it dearly down the road. Buy the good bearings and seals and small stuff like that, you will have a good running bike for a long time if you do.
  12. Im sporting a set of edge's and love em. THey hook up pretty well. I drag race wit em and havent ever had any problems wit em.
  13. I called Julian today at the machine shop and couldnt get ahold of him so I have no update on the tranny's
  14. Ive searched and couldnt find hardly any threads talking about LRD pipes. I am currently running T-5's and almost done with the build. My set up consists of: 4 mill longrod crank, v-3 reeds, 30mm PWK's, coolhead w/19cc domes, trans mod, open air box, +4 timing. I absolutley love the mid range power of the T-5's. I know the LRD's expansion chamber is a lil bigger than the T-5's resulting in more top end. I had a set up BB CPI's on it and it had absolutley no botttom end and by the time the power came on the race was over. I mainly drag race, but do ride the dunes as well, but its a 70/30 split on racing vs duning. Will the LRD's bring more top end than the t-5's? And with my set up, what would u all run?......t-5's or LRD's? Does anyone run LRD''s?....and what are your thoughts on them? One last request....if anyone has any pics of the LRD's mounted on your bike could you attach a couple pics?
  15. As for a wiseco crank....NO WAY!! This may have been a rare incident, but my friends crank totally grenaded itself a couple weeks ago and it was a wiseco. He bought it brand new and was not very old at all when it threw a rod through the case. the crank was rubbing all on the cases and everything else. Hotrods or Vitos cranks are the best shelf bought crank in my opinion.
  16. Ive heard nothing but good things about vitos so im going with vitos. I dont like the fact that wiseco is contracting with china to do some of their work. Im not willing to gamble my engine on a foreign made piston. Vitos it is. By the time im done with this engine ill have around $2k in just parts in it and Ill pay a lil more for the best just for piece of mind and quality.
  17. Wiseco's quality in my opinion isnt as good as it used to be. Im not sure about Wiseco making vito's pistons, but u could be right.
  18. Uuuuuuuuuh Vito's. Wiseco isnt the only maker of pistons ya know. I havent heard anything bad about vito's thus far. Ive ran wiseco's thus far but havent heard good reviews lately and Im willing to try trinity, vito's or someone else.
  19. Alfie, my cylinders are ported yes. They are getting the exhaust ports raised just a hair and then they'll be done. The portjob is closet to a real aggressive dune port, not quite a drag port. I do not want Wiseco's cuz I heard and its just heresay, but I heard they are outsourcing a lot of their work to china and overseas. I also heard their quality is slipping. My friend just put a stroker wiseco crank in his banshee and wiseco pistons and it basically grenaded itself. The crank was rubbing all on the cases and shit and if Im this far, im not cutting any corners to save $50 or anything. Im buying all new stuff and will spend the money to get the best. Alfie, call me bro!!! Im at the house packing for chicago tomorrow so im free brotha. Better yet, Ill call ya tonight or tomorrow.
  20. I am also needing pistons to accomodate the crank. I do not know which pistons to get either. I DO NOT want wiseco pistons.
  21. I am rebuilding my banshee and have a big question. Hotrods makes a long rod crank and a stroker crank??? Is there a difference? I want the longrod crank and do not know which one (part number) to order. I do not want the stroker crank. Tell me if this is correct........hotrods makes a stroker crank with a stock length rod and they also make one with a stock stroke but longer rod correct??? All I want is a longrod crank lol!!!
  22. What up PIMP!!!!! I been keeping my head down getting this ole basket case ready for Snakehunt on thursday. I apologize for no wise ass comments or smartass replies to any posts, but Im back and back on my A-Game LOL!!! Yeah I do remember that guy, cuz I was all butthurt you beat me to the punch on that bumper haha!! Whats good with you my man? Im outta town on work, but I get back to town tomorrow and Im calling ya Alfieboy!! U cant get rid of me that easy! LOL!! U know anyone who wants my red plastics?
  23. TF7, thanks for the offer bro, but I dont wanna spend that much. I'd really like to find a used one that someone has laying around for cheaper.
  24. damn, this has got me thinking.......hmmmm??? You said you got spark so everything must be grounded correctly. I would disconnect all the electrical components and just start all over and reconnect it all and check all the connections. And I would definetley BLUE locktite the pick up and timing plate. You could not be getting a good ground somewhere, stator could be weak, CDI on its last leg.....etc. This is a toughy!
  25. looking for a plain jane billet waterpump cover. I dont want all the fancy designs or any of that stuff, just something plain jane.
