I have a trinity 2-1 intake and boot I picked up off ebay and ended up buying a whole setup on here so I don't need this one any more. They have the sealant on one side, would it hurt to flip it over and put some sealant on the top side? If so is yamabond 4 allright to use?

Man I can't win. Started putting my motor together today, got too the cylinders and put the right side on then went to put the base gasket on the left side and low and behold it was another right side base gasket . So I pulled the right side back off too make sure I put the right gasket on and I did. So now I have too wait even longer too get my shit going again! I purchased the complete K&S gasket kit off ebay so hopefully the person I bought it from makes it right.

Thanks for all the offers, I no longer need the carb and cable and domes as I have purchased the 2-1 kit above :biggrin: so it will be a couple weeks for the funds to recoop before I will be able to purchase a clutch but I will need one.

I purchased some K&S oil seals and was needing to know on the left hand crank seal what side faces out? My Clymers manual says to put the side with the green dot out but these are not marked that way.

Well finally got all my parts to start putting my engine back together. Any tips from the pro's on sealing the cases back together? Got it all cleaned up good, trans is sitting in and new crank is in with all new seals. What do you guys wipe the sealing surface down with before sealing? Is there any adjustments or things to make sure is done before sealing it together? This is my first rebuild so any pointers will be much appreciated.
