  1. I had a set on my stock bike, has a unique look and sound. The head pipes on mine were a pain to get in the right position to get on, but i read where other HQer's havent had problems. IMO they pulled good through the mid range and lacked on the top and bottom end. I had a set of T6's I put on it and there was a night and day difference. The lack of low end was still there, but the mid and especially the top end had a lot more pull.
  2. No their not. Jet kits are overrated, over priced and your not going to use most of whats in it. If your unsure of where to start, list all your mods, elevation, etc. and there plenty on people on here to get you close.
  3. Just spoke with him at the end of last week, I always have better luck calling.
  4. I've heard all great things from those builders you have listed. I just had my jugs ported by Kevin at HJR, his customer service and turn around times are second to none. When I was calling around, I felt he took the most time to talk with me, while IMO with some of the others I felt like they were rushing me. Good luck with whatever direction you go.
  5. Just saw your other post with the pics.
  6. Rurys on here has a set of K&N clamp on with outerwears in great shape, give him a shout.
  7. yep, but im sure snop will verify.
  8. I love my 28 pwk's, they are much easier to tune imo. If i recall snopczynski and dallasgdub both have a set for sale.
  9. like JMADD said, carbs are huge for stock motor and i would check compression to ensure the 19cc domes dont require you to run high octane fuel.
  10. like jbooker82 said, all depends on how they measure, more often than not it will need to be bored, but heck since the jugs are off might as well get it ported, and since the jugs are out getting ported, might as well polish the side cover and port the reed cage, since the side covers are off, might as well split the engine cases check the crank, aw, heck with stock stroke time for 4mil........... lol, its a sickness that the wife can wait to find a cure for.
  11. I would sent it out to one of the site sponsers, HJR, FAST, etc. they will be able to take care of all the machine work and see just how much you need it bored. Your cylinders will come back to you with the top end kit needed. No better time for a port job. #1 cost to power ratio you can do.
  12. have had a couple buddies use that with no issues, i have always used that 3 bond 1211. It available at most cycle shops for around 20 bucks.
  13. DallasGDub had a set for sale, pm him to see if he still has them. They are in great shape.
  14. its insane the time and energy some people will exhaust to cobble something together over pennies.
  15. PM me a price.
  16. We have a pretty big group heading down the first weekend, would be sweet to get in on a HQ ride.
  17. Like it says above, looking for some pods to bolt up to my 28mm carbs.
  18. doesnt have parking brake switch, cdi has the 2-4 wire connector not new style.
  19. Buddy has a 96 that was running fine one day, parked it and now it wont rev up. It will still start, harder than usual though, but wont rev up. There is no TORS, checked ignition coil, wires, harness for loose or bad connections, cdi, carbs, reeds, you name it. I believe it has to be electrical. The only thing that hasn't been checked is the pickup coil on the stator which we will be checking tonight. Has anyone run into this problem, any other ideas on what it could be?
  20. I have a 2000 banshee for sale. Still on stock bore, but has been re-ringed. All in all its in good shape. Has pro-design cool head with 21cc domes, TORS removal kit w/ idle screws, Toomey T6 exhaust, nerf bars, K&N filter, tires are in great shape along with the plastic. This is my spare bike and need the room for other projects. Asking $2500.00
  21. I got rid of mine altogether, then ran the line from the radiator that went to the overflow down the frame. This way while riding I could look down and see if she was dripping coolant and getting hot. You can see by the picture below.
  22. The kit I got from Vito's had a bent drill bit.
