yep, weld them back up and get them re-chromed. I'm on my 3rd set of CPI's Same problem but at least they keep replacing them.
-
I'm going to try to make it, I want those footpegs this year! lol
-
I can't really easily fit a 12. I have sceen it done without the box sticking out, but the 12" they used, I'm thinking my 10's proabbyl hit harder. I have fill in my box, just for the 10's!

I dont think I woudl want my Banshee to go 115 on the street, thats just asking for death.

I dunno guys, this is in long Beach. Figure the quad he purchased new in 03 for 7-8k (thats what they cost here) and then added all that stuff like the billet swingarm, case trenching etc. The total could easily be over 16k after suspension clutch cranks etc.

What type of chain breaker do i need?
Justintoxicated replied to Jayy's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I alwayse use a dremel, just grind down the pin a bit. Never had any problems. Save your money dremel is easier than the tool it just requires electricity. -
Lots of Stuff For Sale!
Justintoxicated replied to Justintoxicated's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Problem Resolved. Crank Sold. Cylinders back up for sale and taken off ebay for now. The porting on these was about $450 alone. -
Ok so it's not exactly my style, but as long as you like it, the hood isn't that bad maybe it looks better than stock I don't know heh. Theres thigns I don't like about my truck too like all the stupid chrome in front. I'll bet you could fit the subs I want to put in my truck, I don't have the tools to fabricate a seat lift ofr my truck to fit them. backseat folds up and down, so there are latches on the rear wall that also have to be moved up... I can forward fire with a minor lift tot he front of the seat only, but I think someone would kick them on accident lol. I can't even fit Type-R's in mine in up or downfire, they are too deep. I put in some TC 1000's though....they get loud enough I suppose but the SQ is excelent. I like your grill and stuff though if that counts!

Liquid cooling and Danger Den
Justintoxicated replied to dogboystoy's topic in Computers and Technology
Check this out, if you flip your water block the other way (TDX right?) you can run that long coolant line to the CPU, then out of the CPU into the Video Card, and fromt eh Video card to (whatever the line on your CPU is runnign to). This should shorten up the hoses and and that hard bend to the video card. -

Yes, it is hard to hind anything in a transparent case which is why I generly do not like to use them, that and I would probably scratch them up. Sure my desk looks clean now but wait a week lol. Be careful with those cathodes too, it seems like some of those converter boxes get hot and catch fire, which is why I do not like to use them anymore either, although I have not had a problem with them in the past. I'm really picky but I have been doing this stuff for some time now too! I would say you did a pretty good job hiding wires, most of mine are tucked behind the MB My Case is light with 2 Royal Blue LED's They are a deep purplish blue not like what you see in the pics looks much better in person. It was kind of a prototype but worked out extreamly well with my fan controller to dim them. They make anything Neo Glow jsut as well as a blacklight, but they will not make clear UV reactive stuff glow like you can with a blacklight. I was not expecting the results I got at all, it worked out better than it did on paper and I don't know why but it has to do with the fan controllers circuitry. I get full dimming and nice even lighting with the 2 LED's. (No Cathodes to Hide although I did have to hide a small box.) I cut the window myself rather than using the coolermaster;s factory window. I did not like the way it exposed the drive bays or PSU, so I copied the design but did it the "right way". The tubing you are using is what I use for banshee coolant hoses lol. Yea it can take the heat but it is not recomended for computer water cooling. I don't remember if it was due to evaporation, sealing/flexability, Kinking, or just because it's a bit ugly with the re-enforcement. The tubing I'm using is the cheap Mc Master stuff 5/8th inch with all 1/2 inch barbs I think I got like 10 or $20 woth and have enough to do another computer still, if you search on [H] I'm ure it will pop up all over. Thanks for the compliments. I will be getting a graphics card next refresh, I believe the 7800 GT is faster than the ATI 1900XT to give you an idea but not sure about vs two of them, still it's not nearly fast enough to run bio shock with all the eye candy turned on. But with all the eye candy runing 1920x1080 the graphics look much better than they do on the X-box 360. You have no idea how bad ass the 37" Westy is. I can view so many HQ posts at once it is crazy lol. 1920x1080 but large enough so that I can easily read small fonts. But playing games on a larger screen gives you a much better perception and feel. But best of all I tried a few HD Rips in MKV format (like divx only for HD I guess) and they look amazing. This monitor is doubeling as a TV in my bedroom though, just waiting for the HD cable box to try it out. I sold off my HD CRT TV to save space and this thing can work as a TV and monitor at the same time. However I would not go above 37 for use as a monitor unless you sit far away, although many are trying the 42" Westy since the 37 is discontinued. 37 @ 1920x1080 looks good but going larger and you may start to notice a drop in picture quality. Even a 24" has slightly more pixels but I find the text gets hard to read if you go too high on too small of a screen, I would NOT trade this for a 24" (1920x1200) , and yes their are tricks to incrase font sizes but it's not the same, for one, when you increase font size you fit less text on the screen which kind of defeats the purpose in jumping to a higher resolution in teh first place... 32-27 1920x1080 will give a nice sharp clear image with a DVI or HDMI cable from the computer to TV. I just ordered some Audio Tech headphones AD700's, Logitec Z5500's, and a new chair http://cgi.ebay.com/Raynor-Ergohuman-Chair...1QQcmdZViewItem but I got it for a bit less. Damn I must be crazy or depressed or bored to be dumping cash like this right now. LOL I think I'll be done for a while with new video card once the refresh is here. I have a feeling it will be Nov/Dec (before X-mas). Followed by 2 or 3 1TB Hard Drives. I'm out of space with just a raptor 150 and WD 400GB. Nice work, and hopefully you won't have any trouble. How many of those spiral enforcement things did you break before you got them on? lol. Get some Mc Master tubing to have on hand so you can change it out next time and it will really clean it up, you should not need those spiral thigns either. -
Liquid cooling and Danger Den
Justintoxicated replied to dogboystoy's topic in Computers and Technology
Well here goes, the Royal Blue color really screws up my Camera, my Wall is not yellow! The blue should look more purple like, but not as much as UV, just a really deep blue, but again camrea picks it up as a really bright blue. Didn't clean it or anything it accumulates some dust on the front from the Thermochills location. Can you run Bioshock? It runs really choppy on mine, but I felt better when it ran much faster on a new quadcore with DDR2 at work, at a lower resolution too!,so I guess the video card is the bottleneck but it is old 3 years means it's time to replace. Monitor is really sharp not blury like in the pictures. I ended up returnign the second one. I do miss having dual screens, but I needed the money for my Cub! I would highly recommend that if you find a Westinghouse 37" 1080p TV/Monitor you purchase it! They are kind of rare though. I want a new Camrea.... -
When I talked to them, they asked for my Weight (Without Gear), Skill/Style, and Swingarm LENGTH not weight. But you have to have the shock revalved too to go with your spring in order to make a really noticable improvement, otherwise yes, your just getting more spring.
-
Now all they need is a little LED mounted in there with a press button so you can check the fuel level
-
Well Try One Position Lower (Raise the needle), the delay is either because your starving it, or giving it too much. If it gets worse, then try moving it the other direction.

how to check for crank rebuild?
Justintoxicated replied to jedsled's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Check the Bearings and see if there is Up/Down play. Check inbetween the Rods with a feeler gauge. I don't rememebr the specs offhand. Check Bearings for other signs of wear. Check where the Crank is pressed togetehr and make sure it is not seperating. -
Sometimes I have to kick mine for like 10 minutes before I realize I forgot to turn the Key on. This usualy happens after several beers. But seriously. Sometimes when the temp drops fast, mine can be a bitch to start, or sometimes for no particular reason, takes some good kicking, but normally it's 1-2 kicks.

I'll Choose Nate over Trinity Any Day! Then again, hes building my cub right now. But either should be capable of bore and hone, I just don't want trinity ported cylinders. I don't really believe in the "Pick a porting stage" type of philosophy. And Nate does have the best SuperCub out. LA sucks, but LA is not the same as So Cal. Huntington beach is cool, La Jolla, PB, East County in SD etc. Hell my parents aren't cramped they have few acres and horses! Housing sucks though, pretty much given up the idea of purchasing a home. Don't make enough to come up with a down payment. Little housing selling for 800k in crowded neighborhoods is just ridiculous... But there IS a reason why it costs so much to live here.

New Banshee Owner feeling CRAMPED
Justintoxicated replied to fishwater's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
1) Get something larger, maybe A DS or Rappy? 2) Ride the Dirtbike instead. I'm 6'0 and ~200 lbs no problems here although my knees will hurt sometimes. Definately don't feel cramped. Maybe get some Wider Arms or longer swingarm or something to help you feel less cramped? Sit back farther on the seat? Get some different handlebars maybe? Do you just have super long legs? -
probably need a rubber mallot to wack the cases apart, and a flywheel holding tool & puller, yamabond etc. Might as well put in a new seal kit as well while you are in there. Sinve theya re prone to failure eventualy.
-
http://www.mccoysperformance.com/ Not sure what is so crappy about SoCal? Traveled elsewhere but always happy to come home.... L.A. kinda sucks though, I miss S.D. OR looks fun, but too cold for me I think North Cali is too cold lol. While Vegas is too damn hot....

Looks good other than the lowering and Hood, and wind/rain gaurds. Not digging that cover. I like the bumper, is that custom or do they come like that? The enclosure sounds nice got any pics of that?

Yep Move / Change the needle. Sometimes it is good to go with a longer needle with less taper. If you really don't think it is a jetting issue, then check your reeds (this will require some new gaskets to pull them and inspect them). Better reeds = better throttle response. When you ride the Banshee, look for a throttle position right before the Power Band, this way when your curizing on a hill you have instant access to the power. You don't lug it then gun it like you can with a 4-stroke. it really does sound like a jetting issue to me though, definately with the needle or maybe even the main jet! (transition between needle and fully open is the problem) I ran 320's mains with FMF Fattys No lid on airbox, and K&N @ sea level in glamis moved the stock needle clip down 1 position (Raised the needle). I was typicaly slightly rich but never foweled a plug!
-
That tusk one looks reasonable. I hear you though, I still have the stock brakes on my duner! No skid so if I hit a rock and bend it Then I will repalce, just hope I don't eat it too hard should that happen!
-
I had buttons on the front radiator shroud and I did not like it, they are harder to use while riding. It works though if you can't figure out where else to put them. I don't have the brake light so no help from me there. Just need a blockoff plate and disconnect the TORS under the plastics near the gas tank on the left hand side, there is a box located there. There is also another cable you can disconnect from the thumb throttle if I remember correctly. I have the ASV brake lever but run the yamaha Factory Racing clutch lever.
