  1. is looking for his canadian/american conversion dictionary

  2. worth every penny. like some of the others here, i thought i was tuned fairly well but when i got the gauge (from FAST) and used it, i found out exactly how far off "close" was. there are enough intake adapters that it will work on all my other toys as well. some will say "save the money", i say "consider it a cheap insurance policy"......
  3. a roundhouse swinger? is that like a spouse swapper who likes to party in an igloo? but seriously.....where can i find one these swingers? i prefer brunettes..... anyways, gotta go and adjust my chain now .....had this quad for two years and i'll finally get to ride it now that i can take the slack out of the chain

    3 day fishing trip

just got back from a three day fly in fishing trip. didn't manage to land any masters but came close. 26 inch walleye. 28 is a master. landed two 26ers, a 27, and a 27.5 but just couldn't get that 28 39 inch northern. 41 is a master
  5. you mean i've been tolerating you dicks at HQ for all this time, getting great info, and having a few good laughs (and a few heated debates) and now you tell me there is another banshee site on the web? kinda funny loco, you'll post a link to a competitor's site and don't give a shit, but they get all bent when someone mentions a non-sponsor on their site. anyways, i can't find the sticky for "tightening chains" and would really like to ride this weekend.....
  6. here's a funny link. http://watch.tsn.ca/mixed-martial-arts/clip304770#clip304770 This all started a few years ago when Laraque joked on how he'd handle GSP in a wrestling match (for the record, they're buddies and this was all in fun). Laraque is 6 ft 3 and during his playing days was billed about 250lbs. He's likely heavier (read that; out of shape) now. He was one of the toughest enforcers to lace skates and had offensive skills as well. here's a clip...Laraque was wearing the mic for this game. at about the 50 second mark you can clearly hear the lead up conversation for the fight and Laraque wishing the other guy good luck

    Shogun

funny thing is, Daley's trash talk didn't bother me nearly as much as Hardy's does, but Hardy proved himself to be gracious in defeat which goes miles in my book. I'll take a gracious loser over a gloating winner any day....thought Daley had a little more class than that. I was hoping to see Daley vs Hardy. those 2 should be having a go at each other on the next UK card. too bad Daley let his emotion get the best of him, maybe he should have used some of it up during the fight. but i'd be willing to bet he's still back in a few months. he's got skills, no doubt about that. On a side note, With GSP and Kos being the next TUF coaches, i wonder if they'll do a Canada vs US format?
  8. never lost one either....yet. i always prefer to use a socket when possible, i fuckin hate flat head screwdrivers......
  9. just replaced the DG's in my sig (came on the quad) for a pair of new Platinums and silencers....i also added the adjustable timing plate and advanced the timing to +4, so i can't give a truly fair power comparison between just the pipes but it definitely pulls into the power band alot faster now. i ride predominantly trails. the PC's sound awesome too.
  10. twistie on the streetbike, thumb on my sleds and quads tho.
  11. to quote a line from Slapshot....."that cunt is no good" lol A man should not beat a woman. But If a person isn't supposed to just go around abusing others, why should she get away with it? IF she is a visitor in HIS country, she should show a little respect. Just because tourists, male or female, show up with a pocket full of money to spend, it doesn't give them the right to act like a fuckin douchebag. Notice that none of the dudes that were with her really did anything. They were probably smart enough to realize that anything they might have done in retaliation would be answered tenfold by a larger group of locals later. Lick your wounds and live to see another day. When you are a guest in another country, you'd better understand how they operate and follow their rule of law.

    Canadian Easter, eh ?

oh hell, there's still 12 weeks of playoffs to go once regular season is over....
  13. mine worked great right from the start. spliced into the light circuit before the switch so it'll work without them having to be on. i was really most concerned with temperature but the tach and speedo are nice (as long as they keep working). also, for free riding and trail riding, the odometer is nice. i've got my fuel range dialed in to within a few kilometers (depending on how hard i am riding). but yeah, lots of guys have had nothing but problems with them too...
  14. Manitoba....too far east to be in the west, too far west to be in the east
  15. FYI - for your information imperial/metric.....difference; a ton is 205 pounds lighter than a tonne....... sorry, I had to, I couldn't help it, i'm Canadian
  16. right on, i've been wondering about this myself. i do a lot of free riding, and sometimes the unfamiliar territory limits you to slower speed through trees, rough ravines, rocks etc. i'll do anything i can to assist with cooling. if 5$ worth of foam helps out, i'm game to try. i want to rig something up for next riding season and was thinking about using some old plastics to cover the gaps around the grill. i'm still going to try it unless something else comes up in this thread. good topic, i'm not sure who started it...
  17. i'm not sure. i'm thinking no, but I haven't tried it myself. here's a bump for ya
  18. I run 4-6 in the rears (Kenda Klaw XC's), and the same up front (stock), since i switched to the the 450 front end. When i had the stock banshee front end, i ran them a little harder (more psi, fronts only) to compensate for the lack of suspension travel. I've tried different psi combos and like these the best for my current set up and body weight.
  19. and what ratio for fuel premixes are you guys running for your mods? Do you use their products for anything other than your banshee? thanks guys
  20. hey man. on the blue bar across the top of the website, on the left hand side it says "signed in as BOOZER2009". click on the arrow to the right of that to bring up a drop down box. on that box, click messenger and it should take you to a messenger page. if i didnt put it there, i dont know where i put it.

  21. i gotta agree with madjim. if you've already got the parts taking up space on the shelf, go for it. i love my full 450 set up and i didn't cost me a bunch of money either.
  22. ha, just seeing this thread now! ya, it's a tight fit. but i after riding it and feeling how much different it was, i decided i'd rather fine tune the set up as much as i can and be tight, than to go back to the stock front end. my riding is mainly XC and woods trail so i'm happy with a little extra ground clearance and height. having to reverse the upper arms does tilt the top of the spindles (i used 450's) back to the rear of the bike a few degrees and creates more of an angle for the tie rod joint but i dont consider my quad any harder to steer now than it was stock. i used the search (ltr as keyword) and found a photo of a comparative line up of the blaster, banshee, yfz, and ltr shocks. the yfz is longer which may provide a little more clearance on the rear of the upper arm, but the biggest difference, i felt, was that the ltr coil is larger in diameter, thereby making it naturally closer to the arm. also, in one of the threads, the quad was fitted with shocks that had a rear mounted rezzie that came down parallel with the coil. the first time he took big air and came down hard, the rezzie and the arm made contact hard enough to bend the arm and leave a good crease in it. now that's not good. if my coil makes light contact, on occasion, i can live with that. if you are nervous about a tight fit and snug arm clearance, then this probably isn't for you. but if ride height is also a concern, the ltr shock will ride lower than the yfz shock. personally, i have no regrets about doing this swap. i might upgrade to a kick ass set of aftermarket arms and shocks in a few years, but this is the setup i'll be running for now.
  23. if i knew my shit about banshees a little better i'd have a go at it. truth is, i've only been playing this game for about a year so i know FA about duneable overrides etc, and really only just fully understand the setup i'm currently running. I'll be all over this thread when its done though. this kind of shit is best left to be explained by someone who doesn't just own, but performs the (proper) maintenance and repairs for themself. its cool that you are doing this. people like me who don't necessarily want to buy (yet) but want to do their homework beforehand can learn without having to post a bunch of repetitive threads........ hopefully someone helps you out loco....
  24. i have been thinking about a set of these for 2 weeks or so now. we don't have much in the way of snow here yet and the temps lately have been unusually mild. the skis on ebay are going anywhere from 70$ to 200$ depending on condition and whether or not the carbides are intact. they sure look like they could be fun and with the groomed trails coming right across our home property, i can get to town or the lake without having to pound through any deep snow. i've been looking at paddles for my extra rims but there are a few cool track options out there that dont compromise your speeds so you dont have to put different sprockets on to have the same performance. only downfall is the tracks new are a minimum of 1000$ and up whereas paddles i can get for 150$. i dont know anyone who has them though.
  25. WTF? didn't you just get the PT's? did you even hear, or run them on the bike?
